  1. That's it officially confirmed on the club Twitter that Hastie is gone at the end of the season @MotherwellFC: Jake Hastie will leave Motherwell at the end of the 2018/19 season. http://bit.ly/2V5zIlk
  2. You are right it is a forum and no doubt there will be a discussion on how the new singings are doing etc after people have seen them play and formed an opinion on them. SR and the rest of the coaching staff have done just that and decided that Jake Carroll is what we are looking for, time will tell if that decision was a good one. But maybe they should have forgot about all the years of experience, getting UEFA, coaching badges etc and just logged on to various fan forums on their phones, " Las, I am thinking of signing Jake Carroll, naw boss, just read on twitter that angry from Cambridge and wunderwell thinks he is pish " ok then it must be true we won't bother.
  3. I liked Bowman when he was with us, not the most gifted player but he always worked hard and put himself about in every game,
  4. Why not try being normal and well adjusted and make a judgement on a player after we have actually seen him play for a few months, instead of posting pish like that based on social media rubbish.
  5. All change in the last few minutes, only 1 pt behind St Johnstone now, a good result.
  6. Yaaaaas get in there, Scotland's young player of the year again.
  7. Bollocks it's 2-1 Dundee now ,wtf are we doing
  8. Agree with that, I really can see Hastie going the way if numerous other "players with a bright future" especially if he goes to Ibrox and never gets a 1st team chance. I really wonder if Rangers had to pay a transfer fee for him would they still be interested I think not. If he kicks on and continues to impress then fair enough but that's a big if, especially with potentially limited 1st team opportunities at Rangers, so for me take the cash now as I don't see a big money transfer out of Ibrox for him in a few years
  9. Agreed I think the same, if you watch him, he always wants to cut inside, reminds me of another former well favourite and his new team mate, Jamie Murphy, so defenders just show him down the line and he is not so effective.
  10. That's what the Ibrox fans will be saying when he's 18 months into his contract and has only been seen in a pre season friendly
  11. Agree with that but that's what happens by playing fringe Academy players and the likes of Sammon,
  12. Twitter feed says short back pass for Accies goal, who made a James Hunt of it, ?
  13. I can't understand this "we are safe from relegation, the season is over" view that some people have, so throw all the academy players in as results don't matter. At the start of every season the main objective is to finish as high up the league as possible, with 5 to play that should still be the focus, by all means bring in 1 or 2 academy players but we should be fielding our strongest possible team selection for these 5 games. As has been stated in previous posts the difference in prize money between 7th and 9th is significant for a club like ours, it,s maybe wages for 2 players for SR to bring in over the summer. So I hope we go for it in these last 5 games and don't mess about with the team too much if at all, if the fringe academy players have shown no sign of being ready to step up over the last 33 games why should it be any different for the last 5.
  14. Would love to see Accies relegated, they bring nothing to the premiership, shit crowd, team and Stadium so I hope we go there, strongest team on the park and get right into them and give them a real doing, and with a bit of luck good results for Dundee and St Mirren as a bonus.
  15. In my opinion Burrows has played a blinder with the Hastie Saga, let's not forget we are talking about an unproven player, yes he may have potential but having it an fulfilling it are very different things. I he is tempted by a move away then as we have a good offer to him on the table and he's under 22 we are due development compensation, to be decided but the figure of 400 k was quoted. If he stays and fulfills his potential then he would get another big money move and no doubt we would command a very good transfer fee. So either way the club would get a significant cash return on the player, so it's a win win for the club
  16. Probably not the best game to judge him on Accies are brutal, but I have seen him in other games and he looks a decent player, so time will tell.
  17. John Ruddy might be heading for the FA cup final with Wolves, they are hanging on a bit but currently 2-1 up against Watford
  18. Another bonus is that we are now officially safe from relegation or the playoff spot, so the budget planning for another year in the premiership can begin
  19. At the start of the season he had shown feck all to warrant a new deal, that's why he was punted out on loan. Now he is cashing in on his last few months in the spotlight, fair play to him. It must have been a tough decision, maybe 1k or 2k a week at Fir Park or 4 or 5k at Ibrox for the next 4 years,, he's off so good luck to the boy.
  20. He was at Alloa to get game time as we were not sure he was going to make the step up to 1st team football, and for me that's not certain yet either, he has had a good last few months and earned himself a big move, lots of cash etc so it's now up to him to take it, good luck to the boy. But that said the blue ugly sisters record at developing and giving youth a chance is not good, so time will tell, but I would not be surprised to have a post in the former players thread in 12 months time asking "remember Jake Hastie whatever happened to him, us he still at Rangers" He has potential so I hope he goes on and fulfils it
  21. Let's be honest he wasn't very good and was never going to be a top player, but that said he has probably made a decent living from football,
  22. Dylan Mackin scored the winner for Stirling Albion, an 80th mins pen
  23. John Ruddy having a good game for Wolves tonight, currently 2-0 up against Man United in the FA cup QF
  24. Given that both Hastie and Turnbull a year ago had contributed almost nothing to the 1st team it might have been thought at the time that they might not be up to the step up to 1st team football and as such not worth the offer of a new deal, hindsight is wonderful
