  1. Kieran Kennedy got Wrexham's consolation goal in that game, so ex Motherwell players scoring for both teams
  2. The aim at the start of every season is to finish as high up the league as possible, so for me a top 6 finish would be great given where we were before Christmas. There are also the financial benefits, more prize money, 2 extra game against the ugly sisters etc so we need to go for it. As for losing games, apart from the ugly sisters , Hearts, Killie and Aberdeen are average at best and all beatable so with no pressure on us u think we could do well against them. So for me we need to go for it in the next 2 games against Hibs and St Johnstone, 2 wins and we could be in for a great end to the season.
  3. Hamilton are 16 points below us with the worst goal difference in the league, -39 for a reason, i.e. they are brutal, one flukey win against Aberdeen does not suddenly turn them into a good team. This will be a home win on Saturday, we will be kicked off the park by the likes of McKinnon and Imrie but we will win, we are better than them. And I hope Rangers do us a turn tonight and beat Hibs, then we can start in Saturday knowing a win will put us right back in the fight for the top 6
  4. Let's be honest Hastie is an unproven player and if it wasn't for the last 2 months would anybody be bothered if he moves on? His recent form has shown he has potential but that needs to be realised, so he needs to decide where the best place to continue his development will be but with that also comes financial considerations, its his job so like anybody else the best wage on offer will be tempting. So weighing up the footballing development and financial security will he be best served staying at Motherwell or moving on to Rangers, as a young player building his career I know where I would pick. Whatever we think of the blue ugly sister if Hastie does go, he will get the chance to play with better players, more cup finals, more European games etc than he would staying at Fir Park so the best of luck to him if he does move, I think he has the potential for a good future in the game.
  5. Did we really sign him or did I just dream the whole episode,
  6. They are having a big Dip in form just now, I actually fancy us to win this one and get into the too 6, assuming we have a fit defence.
  7. If Hartley and Mulumbu are fit they can play in central defence, it's a decent left back we need by all accounts Dunne was terrible today.
  8. Nonsense, the ref controls the game not that mob, they put the ball out , play was never stopped so we had every right to use the throw in to our advantage so feck them, It will be all over the papers as it always is more deflection from their fans wrecking stadiums, fighting with the police, sectarian abuse, etc as ever they are always the victims.
  9. Disappointed to lose 2 late goals, 2-1 would have been respectable, 4-1 looks like a bit of a pumping, but onwards and upwards a win midweek against an off form Killie will be the perfect response.
  10. You have started early today, my money was on Milo for the 1st load of negative nonsense.
  11. From this morning's BBC gossip page, seems Hull city are now looking at Hastie Hull City are monitoring Motherwell's in-demand Scottish midfielder Jake Hastie, 19. (Hull Daily Mail)
  12. Tierney has been out injured since December he might be fit enough to start on Sunday according to Rodgers but that's not definite, granted he is their best defender but the rest are average. Sit back and let them play and we will get pumped but if we get forward, and press them particularly down the wings we can keep the likes of Forrest and McGregor under control . It will be tough but they are beatable.
  13. Scottish teams give them too much respect and sit off them, get right in about them from the start and they are vulnerable, their defence is average at best.
  14. Our record at Parkhead is not the best, but as we are one of the top 6 in form teams in Europe just now, we are capable of going there and getting a result. Celtics form after a European game, especially an away match where they will get pumped is not the best so we should get right into them from the start. A win would be massive but would be happy with a point
  15. WTF was Dunne doing, a feckin pathetic attempt to clear the ball
  16. Skippy in the Partick squad today but not starting the game.
  17. He is not even making the PNE squad these days , think he might be injured, that said he would probably still be a better option than Main
  18. Is it just me that thinks the signing of an unfit and injured McCormack may not be as good s bit of business as we first though. At this rate we will be lucky to get any impact from him in what's left of the season.
  19. It is a short career and it's like any other earn as much money as they can, as that's the only reason any of us work. So if they are good enough at their job to be able to earn enough cash to retire at 35 and never work again, fair play to them. Given the chance in our own jobs everyone of us would do the same
  20. I see the BBC gossip page has us potentially linked with Armenian international keeper Henri Avagyan, Wonder if Carson or Gillespie might be moving on https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47223047
  21. Yes still alive, that was my 1st well game at Fir Park, my mum decided that as I had just turned 9 it was ok for me to go with my uncle, managed to find a space down at the wall so never saw much of the game, but it set me on the Motherwell roller coaster, happy days.
  22. I think he will as well, he knows that if he continues to progress for another couple of seasons he will get his big move, on current form he looks like he has a bright future in the game
