Update for anyone who had a look at the Motherwell page before: since I last posted, the site's gone from 120 to 209 published club histories, and the women's pyramid is now covered top to bottom - Motherwell F.C. Women now has their own page too. A few Motherwell-specific things fixed or added along the way: the McLeish/Euro 2008 record corrected, a run of citations swapped from bare Wikipedia titles to direct article links, and the founding and promotion facts for the women's section added. Both pages also now carry a closed-by-default "wider context" box for anyone who wants to read past the facts into how the club's story connects to the wider game. A small follow-up on the Scottish Football History site, for anyone who has visited the Motherwell page. The wider record has now reached 120 published club histories, covering active and defunct clubs across the game. The site also now has a compare-clubs tool, a searchable On This Day record, an image archive with credits, an honours archive, a pyramid guide and a map of current and former grounds. The Motherwell page remains one I’m particularly keen to get right. Update since I posted this: the site's grown a fair bit - all 79 senior clubs now covered, Highland and Lowland Leagues both complete alongside the SPFL, and citations up from 13,721 to 15,616. Thanks Joe Wark. Corrections page is still there if anyone spots anything on the Motherwell page - I'd genuinely rather know.

I've built a club-by-club history of Scottish football and, being a Motherwell supporter, the Motherwell page is the one I've worked hardest on: https://scottishfootballhistory.scot/clubs/motherwell/ Every claim on it links to where it came from. The 1927 Spain tour, the treble season and the 1886 Glencairn/Alpha origins are all there, credited to Motherwell F.C. History and the Heritage Trust where the images are theirs. Where the sources disagree, the page says so instead of choosing. I'd like to know what you make of it - what you'd want added, what reads wrong, what's missing. There's a corrections page and anything you flag gets fixed and logged.

Neither. I sit at the back of the Cooper. Season ticket holder for many years. Just letting off some steam immediately after the game. A game where we looked very leggy not surprising after the European adventure. Still didn't think anyone stood out enough for MOM. General ok displays all round. Still think Maswanhise needs someone to give him a shake and tell him to get his finger out but he would probably just fall over again. Fingers crossed we get the result thursday night and move on again. Good signing today.

Collectively very poor. So don’t think anyone deserves this award. Best chances first half. We are not pressing anywhere near what we did last season. It’s not even close JBA would have went mad on the sidelines at how pedestrian we were. Johannson mainly had a seat in the dugout and watched like a fan most of the game. We didn’t get a point against this team least season and that’s at least something different but I just feel we could have won that with some pressure. Falkirk strolled that. Vogts was a man short. Longelo is so lazy if he is not attacking. Don’t even get me started on Maswanhise. Has he decided to spend more time on his back than running at players?. He is a shadow of last season.

I don't want to jinx it like the rest by commenting how badly other teams played in their first league game. We have still to play ours. Although we have played well so far we have been decidedly lucky in many aspects with poor finishing from the opposition etc. Hibs will have a shit load of confidence from their Euro game and will be well up for this match as well. They seem to be scoring as freely as us. Will need to sit with everything crossed tomorrow. This is going to be a tough opening game.

I noticed that they shut the Cooper Bar for a while as it reached capacity and the Centenary Bar was also mobbed. After effects of Club 100 closing so was nice to see the club benefitting and making some cash from hospitality.

The natural order has been restored. MJC gets it completely wrong again and we win.
