  1. if he goes Keith Lasley will be the next manager
  2. After this lockdown my image will need two seats ....
  3. I would contend he was watching the news and papers very closely saw he could be out on a limb and scrambled to get a deal hed already refused. He could have had that deal right up to Covid struck and he chose not to take it. He gambled and it backfired. Really liked Richard but really disappointed how he tried to make the club look underhand when in reality it was him trying to manipulate the situation and Motherwell rightly stood their ground. He was very careful in his press statement to omit that the contract he'd submitted was one he'd already refused. Even worse was to suggest he left on a point of principle. There was fuck all principled about his actions. He tried to take advantage of the club when he saw Covid could leave him on his arse and the club knew their business. Hes history now we move on.
  4. Yeah from what I can see Tait is using 20/20 hindsight then trying to infer the club were wrong. He decided once he saw what Covid was doing to accept an offer he had refused and then objects that the club did exactly as he'd done - assessed the impacts of Covid - but at least in the clubs reassessment they said it would be revisited once fans are allowed back in. I think Taits comments do appear disappointing. As I've said before the devil is always in the detail.
  5. And of course my original post should have said Hearts. Yeah you are right but frankly they should be able to make money out of a club the size of Hearts if they go about it the right way.
  6. or CYA Im off to Paisley. Because they have some very wealthy people helping them out. That guy who wanted to put £2million into the Scottish leagues weighs heavily into Hearts
  7. Looks like Neilson going to leave Dundee Utd to go Hearts https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/53131136 Wonder what odds on Utd coming in for Robinson
  8. if Mark O'Hara chooses St Mirren so what ? if they offer him a better deal good luck to him. We should only offer what we think hes worth if St Mirren think hes worth more fine. Im sure Robinson has other irons in the fire should Mark choose Paisley.
  9. I work in estates management and I can assure you Ive seen a number of contracts signed 6 months ago that have been cancelled , delayed or renegotiated during this crisis.
  10. I realise that but i thought the financial uncertainty might have kyboshed alot of things. A few English clubs owe us quite a bit of dosh and who knows if they will have the ability to pay it when this is over.
  11. Bit surprised given the Covid situation how quickly we've been able to get some of this business sorted. A good sign.
  12. Hope Tait gets lined up with a club. Was a really good servant to us and a lot worse places to go than Kilmarnock. Still curious whether we offered Richard a contract or whether we merely released him. Id be surprised if we didn't offer him a contract I still think he had a usefulness to us.
  13. The first goal was just as bad as the second, Campbell sold the Jerseys . Two goals that would shame a pub team. Once you give Celtic a two goal start they can just start taking you apart. Same old story against the OF we match them for long periods shoot ourselves in the foot end up getting horsed. Campbell , Donnelly and Polworth all simply awful tonight. We cant afford a midfield playing as weak as they did tonight and expect anything against a time like Celtic.
  14. If my memory serves me right the fee was for both McCulloch and Steve McMillan
  15. From Steven Robinson “His arrival will also allow us to move Mikael Ndjoli into his more natural position as a central striker, instead of playing in wide positions.”
  16. You think 1 million quid for a 19 year old who still has a way to go is disappointing ...we sold Marvin Johnston for half that sum.
  17. exactly James took his chance did well and could very well become a top player. The money offered frankly is ridiculous for a 19 y/o but that the way the game is and good on Motherwell for starting to get fees we could only dream off a few years ago. James at his age and development is replaceable I genuinely thought wed lose Gallagher in this window and that would have been a huge blow and very difficult to replace. Good move for all parties.
  18. Seriously people think losing James could blow our season apart, that defies belief for me. Hes scored 3 league goals in 22 games , Im not having a go at the guy far from it I do believe he will become the real deal given a fair wind but my god youd think we were losing Messi the way some folk are going on.
  19. Where did I suggest he wouldnt go on to bigger and better things, I think I quite clearly acknowledged he may well do. Hes a good talent nothing more at this stage in his development he may well become a fantastic player but at his stage just now he is replaceable
  20. Frankly I cant believe some of the comments and sour faces. You'd think the loss of Scott was gonna kill our season. For fuck sake get a grip being offered £1.5 million for a guy who is very very raw and still with a lot of rough edges is too good a chance to miss. I hope James makes a success of his new role but god almighty hes not critical to us , Frankly I am more worried at the loss of Gallagher now that could derail our season. James is replaceable and frankly Robinson has more credits than debits when it comes to signings.
  21. Lafferty would not fit the type of character Robinson would like , hes too much of a Billy Big Bollox
  22. its a free hit a them, just get stuck in , that said I expect out usual insipid result against Rangers to continue. Plus officialdom owes them a penalty after the Aberdeen game and they can't allow them to fall to far behind Celtic at this stage
  23. our set pieces from corners are woeful ... if the taker puts one arm up it means this will be pish, if he puts two arms up it means it will be over hit pish.
  24. Thats not really the point I've been making but as I said earlier Im starting to bore myself with this now so will leave it as it is
  25. never mind though next time we go there we aren't expected to win.....
