  1. Should have been a penalty there! Where’s VAR when you need it
  2. I’m not making excuses for what is another poor performance but those pitches seriously need to be done away with right across the board. It’s a joke that professional football is being played on them.
  3. Correct and if we don’t score the next goal we’re not winning this one imo.
  4. Scrappy stuff again and poor overall. Glad to be winning but we will need another to be safe I reckon as we will concede.
  5. One of the strangest goals you’ll ever see from SO’D but who cares? They all count!
  6. Total domination of possession but absolutely toothless up front. The pitch and the weather conditions clearly aren’t helping to be fair.
  7. It won’t be unique to us but we have never had a united support certainly not in my time supporting the club. There are guys in the East Stand that spend half the game trying to pick a fight with anyone who expresses an opinion that they disagree with and it inevitably descends into the usual “support yer team or fuck off tae Ibrox” replied to with “Ave paid ma money a’ll say whit a like” and such like. The Main Stand centre section is pretty bad for that kind of thing too. And of course it is reflected on here and other social media forums.
  8. Absolute joke that we have yet another player out with yet another injury which will keep him out for over a month. And before anybody tries the “but, but, b b b b b b b b b but, but….any player can get injured” excuse, I accept that. What I can’t accept and can’t understand is why we consistently have players picking up injuries which rule them out for lengthy periods like this. I’ve said this before but the words “speedy recovery” have got to be the most used on our social media platforms over the last two years. It’s beyond ridiculous now. You have to conclude that this is down to us signing players whom we know are crocked before we sign them (the most likely scenario, imo) or we are doing something wrong in training or relating to fitness, preparation, nutrition and so on. No harm whatsoever to Jordan McGhee or indeed any of the many players we have had that have suffered injuries that have kept them out for long periods over the last two years and indeed I do wish him a “speedy recovery” but this has happened to too many players and for too many lengthy layoffs for it to be simply put down to bad luck or “any player can get injured”.
  9. Another tricky one on another artificial surface and I have no doubt another struggle. 2-1 home win.
  10. Massive relief to get that last gasp winner last night. And a really good move it was too with the cross from Slattery and the bullet header from Fadinger. We won and that was the main thing, but that performance was dismal yet again and the alarm bells have moved up a decibel or two having watched that. Defensive disaster show yet again and we need more up front. We’ll be lucky to reach the last 16 if we don’t up our game considerably in the next two.
  11. Still no Jordan McGhee I see? ”Speedy recovery” pending???
  12. Great to see Matty Connelly getting his first start for the first team. Hopefully a clean sheet to go with it for him.
  13. 1-1 Who knows how the penalty shootout will go this time.
  14. A good assessment from JBA there. Accepts that it wasn’t good enough and didn’t win but very balanced and states that we have to go and win on Tuesday. He certainly speaks well.
  15. You can say what you like about Halliday, but he can certainly be trusted with a penalty. 😄
  16. He’s certainly not hanging about is big JBA.
  17. Billy Davies appointed Technical Head Coach at Morton.
  18. 1-0 in the friendly v Carlisle, Halliday penalty.
  19. We played Clyde at this stage last season and it was a tough slog but we eventually got the job done. It could easily have gone the other way though. Saturday will be similar, but as I said I have concerns looking at the squad we have and obviously a new manager trying to find his feet. I’m looking forward to it as it will give an early indication of where we are but I reckon this will be a very tough game on that nightmare of a park.
  20. But never mind that. How do you see the game going?
  21. Depends on your definition of trolling. Personally I am just posting my views on the upcoming game given the team we have available to us and the horrific pitch we’ll be playing on. Just my opinion, based on nothing other than my own thoughts. If that’s your definition of trolling then I’m guilty as charged.
  22. I think this will be a struggle and unless we bring in some new additions between now and then we’ve no right to expect it to be anything else. Clyde 2 Motherwell 0
  23. Maybe it says “We f*cking hate Thatcher” on the inside of the collar…
  24. At first glance it looks very ‘Man City’ but the sleeve trimmings and what appears to be a nod to the British Steel ‘S’ logo in the pattern are a nice touch especially since it will be thirty years next July since the ‘Craig was demolished. The only let down is the ‘mfc’ lettering replacing the badge but I know we used lettering long before the club badge on our kits. A solid 9/10 for me. 👍
