  1. You could argue that he’s doing the basics, making the saves you’d expect him to make, but then undoing it all with mistakes he simply shouldn’t be making. Those errors have already cost us too many points this season, and it just can’t go on.
  2. Bombscare goalie, a weak bench, and pure naivety. It undoes all the good we show and it can’t go on. We’ve got three winnable games before the semifinal and we need at least 6–7 points to lift us for the cup game.
  3. We’ve stuck with Ward after his previous mistakes so we’ve only got ourselves to blame today. His error killed us (again) and gave them the lift they needed to turn the screw.
  4. Callum Ward everyone. Pulls off some brilliant saves today then does that. Absolute nightmare.
  5. I’m stunned they’ve given us that penalty. Seems two swallows can make a summer after all.
  6. One swallow does not make a summer, but I’d love to be wrong.
  7. Yep, it’s the hope that kills you.
  8. Really looking forward to this one today, but it’s the hope that kills you in the end. As I said before, a draw would be a good result.
  9. In your browser settings, clear cookies, cache, and history for the MFC site. That usually fixes any corrupted or outdated pages for me.
  10. If JBA turns us into a stable, top-six possession side by the end of the season, he’ll inevitably be poached. That doesn’t mean game over though. It means we’ve built that identity, and the job is simply to bring in another manager to continue it. I trust the new Chairman to do exactly that. The trajectory is now set regardless of who’s in charge. The aim obviously isn’t winning the league every year. It’s stability, entertaining football, European qualification, and a decent cup run or two.
  11. Missing Welsh in defence and lacking proper firepower up front means any midfield dominance is unlikely to count, even against a Celtic side that’s not at their best. I’d be very happy with a draw.
  12. 90 minutes of decent football without the cutting edge, then a few minutes of luck and chaos to win it at the end. Some game, though the lack of a competent centre forward is a real concern. Hopefully that penalty sparks him into finally proving he’s not shite.
  13. Unless you’re planning on being at Mrs Baillie’s Bar for the 3.30pm opening.
  14. With our injury record, I’m shocked nobody picked up a knock just getting on and off those chairs.
  15. Leaving Scotland’s top flight for personal reasons to take a third tier German job looks like a mistake already, but I wish him well.
  16. Updated to 3-0 after their defeat last night, as anything less wouldn’t reflect where our team and theirs are right now. Just will come off the bench for Said, dribble through their entire team, and walk it straight into the net for the third.
  17. You don’t think? I’m certain they don’t. All they get to do is offer opinions. The rest of your view makes sense, but I still stand by my view on managerial bollocks.
  18. I hope you’re right too. But the longer this goes on, the more that reported £800K valuation will be gone by the end of the season, which is year two of his three-year contract. Then what? We’re just going to have to write off an expensive loss.
  19. That was about the only good thing Stama did yesterday, and RCC could not finish it. Credit where it is due, he made a smart run in behind and delivered a good pass, but I cannot help thinking that if it had been KVV, Moult, or Bair, they would have buried it themselves instead of squaring it. To me, that says it all. He is not a proper centre forward.
  20. This is one of the common comments about Stama that I really disagree with. It’s a two-way street. He’s had plenty of good service, only to fluff his lines or be caught on his heels. A better centre forward would also find more space and make penetrating runs that create better opportunities, allowing teammates to provide even better service.
  21. I don’t get why fans either refuse to throw a player in at the deep end or only wish to give them a token 10 minutes in a meaningless game. Football fans are fickle. There is a middle ground, and new players should get meaningful game time to settle in.
  22. The January transfer window is the first real chance. Until then, we can only hope he proves many of us wrong. Otherwise, the next few months will continue to be frustrating for both him and us as his stock as a striker falls.
  23. Unless something changes, and nothing we’ve seen suggests it will, he needs to be replaced at the first opportunity with someone who gives us a proper centre forward threat and goals.
