A goalkeeper should command their box and deal with threats before going for the ball, either by clearing them out or being more aware. With the protection they get, there is no excuse. Foul or not on Ward, he has to be stronger in those situations. Maybe he just is not capable of it. And he has butterfingers.

Hendry deserves his chance to lead the line once he’s fully up to speed with the manager’s system.

Not my man of the match, but I thought Said played well yesterday. There’s definitely more to come from him as he gets sharper with more game time.

A new GK, CB and CF would do nicely.

I’m sure JBA is as frustrated as the rest of us. His side is playing some great football and dominating games, but keeps being let down by a weak first choice striker and an even weaker keeper. You could add a shaky central defence to that list too. It is now on him to sort out both ends of the pitch and I see no reason why he won’t or can’t.

With a proper striker and a better keeper, we’d have won those first four league games. Time to get the chequebook out.

All some fans have done is turn on him as quick as he turned on us, except we ain’t the liars who whored ourselves out to the Sun newspaper. He lied to try to deflect from his own failings. I’m not saying he deserves verbal abuse on Saturday, but he does deserve all the criticism and heat that’s coming his way.
