  1. Outworked us so far. A bit like the St Mirren semi. Let’s see what JBA does second half.
  2. All artificial pitches should be gone from the Premiership. If you can’t grow grass in Scotland, you’ve no business being in the top flight.
  3. I gave it to Just because he’s such an intelligent player and genuinely a joy to watch. That said, I could easily have given it to Welsh for the stability he brings to the system and the quality he shows playing out from the back. Our number one priority should be trying to sign him permanently or bringing in someone similar.
  4. It’s not a must-win game, but it’s definitely one we should be looking to win comfortably. 0-2 to the ‘Well.
  5. A really impressive 0–0 performance where we were unlucky not to take all three points. I honestly can’t remember being that nervous and entertained by a scoreless draw.
  6. Last night showed that JBA can adapt and keep other managers on their toes (knees).
  7. Just imagine what our current goal tally would be if we had a number 9 capable of scoring more than just penalties.
  8. Once JBA gets poached, Max Rogers is our next manager. Not Maloney. He was only there last night to learn from the master.
  9. This should be a cracking game. I’m going for another 3–3, or a 3–2 win for us if the stars align.
  10. Last night proved we can rotate the starting eleven without shifting our fundamental approach. It also underlined JBA’s tactical nous in adapting formations to the game while keeping our style intact. With a few January ins/outs, we should only get better as the season progresses.
  11. But he was subbed at 84 minutes 😉
  12. Priestman grew into the game and thoroughly deserves MOTM tonight.
  13. You’re missing the context that his new manager publicly criticised him in the media, which isn’t really the best way to treat a young signing. As I said before, Miller still can’t get a game, and at this rate he needs a loan move in January or hope the manager gets replaced so a new one actually gives him a chance.
  14. Kettlewell is getting his jotters for Christmas.
  15. We did in the end, but we were struggling in the second half until we scored the penalty.
  16. The inability to hold onto a lead really is pathetic.
  17. Udinese beaten again today and Miller still can’t get a game off the bench. At this rate he needs a loan move in January or hope the manager gets emptied and a new guy actually gives him a chance.
  18. He's just a shite Rasmus Højlund 🎶
  19. Football is one of the few major team sports where top refs rarely played professionally. Their perception of the game is completely tainted by a lack of real experience. They don’t fully understand the physicality of the game, how players time tackles, or the split-second decisions on the pitch. In rugby, cricket, or tennis, officials are often ex-players, so they instinctively know what’s fair. VAR only makes it worse, highlighting just how shit Scottish refs really are.
  20. Yeah, a well-chosen loan would keep his development moving and maybe get him closer to the Udinese manager’s plans, but a return to the SPL would be a clear step backwards.
  21. I fully expect Kettlewell to try and pull a Robinson against us, and if it works, it’ll be clear JBA hasn’t learned from his semi-final failure. That said, Kettlewell and Killie aren’t anywhere near as sharp or direct as St Mirren, and we’re clearly the better side on paper. I’m braced for another glorious draw.
  22. If we move from the 4-2-3-1 to a 4-4-2, the Watt and Fadinger double pivot goes, the wide attackers go, and we’re basically into a midfield diamond. That means one of the current midfield five has to be dropped to fit a second striker. Who’s that? I just don’t see it. More likely Hendry gets a run leading the line, as he’s stronger than Stama and looks better suited to playing up top on his own.
  23. 11 points seems realistic.
