I have not looked at last season. So the whole of last season was down to luck and the players and not one single element of the success of last season was anything to do with the Manager? My thoughts are we are going through a very tough spell right now and our squad is at breaking point and could become critical by January, but I just can't see how we can justify sacking McCall considering our league form this season has been excellent and we are currently on course for another very good season if we can keep the results going.

He is a lone striker, when we are not playing well he is isolated, but he must remain up front - or we won't score.

And in one post you have summed up why we have Higdon. If he scored with ease against every club in the spl then he wouldn't be playing for us. Also yer Higdon bashing has now become a fishing trip.

That's my point. They need to market the game far better. Stop taking second best. Teams in Sweden Norway Denmark etc are not struggling - they have tv deals and income that can allow them to worry about the quality of the team on the park and not the balance sheets. I firmly believe we will lose all our out of contract players and will not replace them like for like and it's not just us facing this problems - it's most teams in the SPL. This drives the quality down even further. All they talk about in Scottish football is the lack of money in the game. Well fucking do something about it!

My feeling is there is a general apathy to football right now. Unless Motherwell come out and actually say 'we are fucked and we need £1 million by Christmas' then I doubt many people will be putting there hands in their pockets. Also clubs can't keep expecting us fans to shell out small fortunes on our teams. We need a system in place where money is generated by not only the fans but many other sources. German football is packed to the gunnels most weeks because its cheap as chips. Why is it cheap because they have a model where all clubs in the football league get money - equally shared.

I can understand getting rid of Forbes. He had his chance and the majority of the time was shite. But Lawless was a stupid move. He is on fire for the best team in the first division and as many have said would be a much better option that Omar Sharif!

Murphy on top form like against the saints is a great player. Problem is he has too many off days and that is why he has fallen out the Scottish setup.

I actually thought it was just one of those games. We had loads of bad luck in the game and apart from the first goal were actually playing not too bad. Not brilliant, but certainly getting in about them. We do look very weak at the back, but is that not down to an ever changing back line with two very inexperienced players in Kerr and Cummins? We also have the problem of squad size. None of these players are being challenged on their position so get comfortable. We need to get some players in to start to put some pressure on guys like Murphy and Hateley. The January transfer window is looking like a key date for us. As for the league. I think we have a good enough squad to get a top six place, but McCall needs to sort out his tactics and also try and find some creativity in the team as nobody seems to want to take on that role. This season was always going to be tough for us and I thought that at the time losing Jennings, Craigan and Clancy was a big problem and we have essentially replaced them with rookies. Why? Cause we have zero cash and can't afford decent players wages. It's a bit of a catch 22 situation we are in.

I can't really see how stands could be redeveloped in the stadium while we still use it as a ground. A logistical safety nightmare. Best option would be a ground share for a season. Fix the East and POD Move back in. If the rumours are true that these stands are close to closing anyway then we better get it sorted soon.
