Ruddy has played nearly a whole season while Fraser has played only a handful of games, of course he is going to make more mistakes!

Fair enough Jay, but Gary Kenneth ahead of Mark Reynolds? Thats the one that sticks in my craw. If Reynolds played like he has for Celtic or Rangers he would walk into the Scotland team.

My simple take on this is: Gannon had an approach to take our squad into the 21st Century and use a young squad to play attractive passing game. He brought in good young players who he felt could do this and axed players in the current squad who he felt could not work in his system. This started off well, but after a while teams figured us out and realised that putting us under pressure they could waltz though a very thin defence. This was not the least of Gannons problems. His man management skills were very poor and the players were beginning to get disallusioned with his attitude and that the style of play he wanted us to use was not working. He was then sacked. Craig Browns job was much more simple. He has come in and changed it back to a basic 442 tactic and has brought back Craigan and Lasley to add some expereince to the team. He already had the talent at his disposal so all he needed to do was make sure the players understood the tatics and earned his respect. Thats probably why we are 12 games unbeaten. I just feel we never had a good enough squad to play Gannons game tactics. If it had continued I feel we would have been in a relegation battle.

The attendance at Motherwell has dropped due to the pitch. Nobody is coming back and most of the people returning are season ticket holders. They have paid to endure it, but to be fair today we played some excellent football on probably the worst surface in the UK. Also Scottish fitbaw is too expensive.

Amazing result today. I really felt this was one we might lose, but after one minute I was asking myself how many would we score. Hearts were woeful. Jennings, Sutton, O'Brien and Reynolds were outstanding and have shown why we are now joint third in the league. Hats off to the whole club as this is probably one of the best comebacks ever. In December we were languishing in what looked like a relegation dog fight. Now we have a realistic chance of finishing 3rd in the league

I look at it more that Jennings used my post as a platform to raise his game.
-
Just feel we will be more up for the fight than Hearts. The pitch we can use to our advantage. Also Hearts have a large injury list. So on that basis 2-0 to Hearts!
-
I take back my criticism of Jennings. Seems to have now found his feet at Motherwell and looks to be an excellent player. Hope he stays.

If Reynolds goes then Hutchison or Saunders steps in. Once they go then some other youngster steps in. When Ruddy goes then Fraser steps in - oh shit..... Our key priority is a goal keeper.

Can't really grumble at a point away from home if we played shite. This must be a record this season for nil-nil draws for one team. Also look at it this way we will now never see St Mirren again until next season, unless they get relegated, but can't see that happening. EDIT - we have had six 0-0 draws this season.

You know what I mean!

So you want to alter the best defence in the UK right now. Thank christ your not the manager! Same team, same formation, same beleif, same hunger and a nice 2-0 win for the Well.

OK Rab your the boss...
-
But we don't give the above examples a large chunk of our money every year to them do we? Remember where a large percentage of your income comes from...

I would say since Corrigan got injured we never really had someone to fill his shoes. Quinn was OK, but I never rated him as highly as a fully fit Corrigan. Hateley is looking like the first right back we have had who could replace him with quality and consistency. Get him signed up long term!
-
With Allan McGregors personal life hitting the headlines again and a good chance he will be punted in the Summer it might be that they snap up Ruddy on a free as thats all they can afford to do these days. So its even more imperative that Boyle gets him a decent long term contract pronto! Would be gutted to see him at another SPL club. This is of course on the assuption that his contract is up at the end of the season, is it?
-
Could be due to it being a brand new pitch it has made the problem even more apparant? Everyone else in the SPL has had their pitch for a longer period of time so has had a chance to 'bed in' The fact remains if we continue to have winters like we have had then there is really no choice, we have to change the dates we play football. As you and Fatcalf have mentioned, under soil heating seems to make things worse. I suppose its nature we are fighting against, which is never really a good idea.

I can't actually remember the last time I played football on a grass pitch so can't really compare, but I do think the 3rd Gen pitches at Hamilton are excellent and they are probably nowhere near as good as the pitches that these teams play on. Only thing I would say is that a grass pitch gives you much more give and go than an artificial surface. We cannot as a club keep forking out hundreds of thousands of pounds of fixing a pitch that looks like it cannot be fixed. So in that light I am actually in favour of a artificial pitch.

for me 100% a red card. It happened right in front of us and he was never going for the ball. Then after it all kicked of he tried to land a few jabs into one of our players stomach. Thats a red card in my book.
-
Murphy for me. Was the only player on the pitch who could cope with the pitch but also show some skill. Was at the heart of all our attacking moves and topped it off with an excellent finish for the goal.
-
It was some quality abuse to be honest. Right in front of us and he was going apocolyptic with rage. Brillaint to watch and to be fair Papac was having a giggle to himself which seemed to get the guy even more annoyed! I bet that Rangers fan is fat baldy c**t himself.

No at Fir Park. Yer beer would be flat and warm by the time you get it.
