  1. how well he will do, will probably depend on who he gets as his assistant. Think thats the key.
  2. is that a distant hope or you know something?
  3. if you google mccall, seems he's a hard worker with good ideas, but had trouble identifying his teams strongest 11. His teams slide coincided with the clubs financial problems, and resultant cut backs. Does that show he cannot opperate on a reduced scale? or can he use that experience, learn from it and progress? Time will tell, if even the BBC have the right man. I wonder who's spinning these stories to the media. What motive would McCall have? So perhaps someone within the club. Even then you've got to take it with a pinch of salt as very little has come from club up until now, so why is all of this information suddenly being released?
  4. perhaps the reintroduction of standing and the return of the east stand to it's former glory could delay and help matters. Unless we manage to unearth a gem in the youth ranks and sell him at the Hibs rates we aint going anywhere for a long time.
  5. perhaps it's time the players took on more responsibility to help out Young! It's only a game of football not brain surgery, and our players have been together now for a while and have played the opposition often enough to surely not need telling what to do to counter them. It's time they stopped feeling sorry for themselves, rolled up the sleeves and got on with it, and try an encourage a potential manager to accept the job. As for the Young bashing. He knows his limitations, and never asked to be put in the position he find himself in, so give it a rest. Players win games, and it's time they did just that!
  6. we have to attack as our defence at present is not good enough to try and park the bus. I reckon it's going to end 5 - 3 to the team that makes the fewest mistakes on the night.
  7. This turning out like when the club were trying to find a sponsor. Plenty of chasing, and an end product out of desperation. I wonder who's negotiating on our behalf. I just hope that the players gutless performance has not persuaded those chased to reject the offers. Who ever gets the job is going to have a extremely hard job on and off the pitch.
  8. even fancy new shiny stadiums experience burst pipes and closed toilets in extreme cold weather!

    Hately

I know we should not focus on any one player after a defeat, but having watched his performance today, what is everyone's constructive views. For me he passed the ball reasonably well, but his positional sense, tackling ability, and effort was very questionable today. He knew we were light in the midfield area, he knew half time was approaching, but to me he bottled it and took the easy option and let his colleagues and fans down. If he was unwell he should not have started! It's time those in charge of our club recognised that he offers nothing in midfield. As for Hately, much like Kerr before him, they've got to realise they have the ability, but without effort, guts and drive, they will never become anything other than average at best.
  11. The difference then and now is confidence, team spirit and fight. When things are going against the team you expect them to work harder, not the opposite. The lack of fight was worrying. If Young is to continue in charge he needs to drop the Brown tactics. They aint working anymore. As for relegation, until we've got 36 points we aint safe! Teams at the bottom just got that bit closer.
  12. think we might need to play a back 5 at the moment! page saunders craigan hutchison Hammell with Reynolds and Lasley in front on the centre back three with a front three of blackman murphy sutton. page and hammell can provide the width. the spine of the team needs to be stronger
  13. Dont believe what the rags say! However, todays performance probably convinced a few applicants to rule themselves out. As for McGhee. He had two seasons to sort out our defence and failed!
  14. looks as if we are entertaining a Craigan nightmare period. For such an experienced player, he's so up and down it's unreal. When he has a nightmare the whole defence has a nightmare. I reckon Craigan is due a red card, as his timing in the tackle is shocking at the moment and it's bordering on being dangerous. Just look at the midfield Gow, Humprhrey & Murphy who's going to win the ball? Lasley was covering for those three. We missed Jennings, and we better find a replacement for him quick. As for Lasley, his behavour was probably more aggressive tonight than Jennings after being booked yet stayed on the field. Saunders is a young player and we have got to accept he will make mistakes. But playing beside seasoned professionals should be a help not a burden. If he follows the examples of Craigan and Reynolds his developement could go backwards. We all need a change in formation as the flying wingers tactic has been sussed.
  15. No midfield to protect a defence so out of form gows wages should be spent on someone who can tackle
  16. No fight, passion or effort saunders ball watching at first as for hateley the new kerr and bottler and imposter
  17. whenever anyone expects anything from this game, usually means we get nowt. Better to predict nowt, expect little, but privately hope. Anything from today would be a bonus.
  18. Sorry to hear about this. Condolences to you and your family.
  19. and guess who's the ref for the game against hamilton? club needs to grow a set and object to o'reilly's appointment.
  20. if the undersoil heating is broken use the big balloon that we had to cover the pitch surely?
  21. See Hamilton's game is off again because of a frozen pitch. It seems certain teams are making no attempt to get their games on, and nothing is being said by the authorities. Utd have alot of injuries and apparently cant get a game on, yet their neighbours across the road can? So where is the outcry from the media?
  22. How can the SFA source talk about integrity when he reveals confidential information regarding the incident to a national rag? Why is the referee not being suspended pending investigations? Without his card, there is no incident. Why is the players union not speaking out in support of one of their members? The referees were quick to close ranks when the referees integrity was questioned. If the bookie feels a fraud has taken place, why is the police not involved at this stage? If they suspend the player at this stage his career is finnished, as mud sticks. How does the SFA know that another player was not involved? Any other day Craigan could have walked for a couple of assualts on templeton. The handling of this incident by all parties is totally unprofessional and to be honest pathetic.
  23. that narrows it down then to about 1200 possibles. Is the name on the above poll?
  24. whoever is going to be appointed, i hope we get a heads up, so we can put a few bob on at the bookies, just so we all can get properly compensated for the slagging our club has got over the last few days
  25. it would appear that some opposition fans reckon we've bottled it.
