  1. Playing Rangers at Ibrox was never going to be easy for our young develping team. We defended well for long periods. A couple of mistakes, combined with luck and quality and we lost.
  2. Penalty miss seemed to knock our confidence and energy. To many loose passes and mistakes. Aberdeen out muscled us all over the park and everthing they hit ended up in the net. Well beat in the end, but youve got to wonder what would have happened if we had scored the penalty. Small margins, like most games involving the majority of teams in our league.
  3. Funny old game. Played better football last week. Good battling performance and very good 3 points at a difficult place for us. Hopefully gives the players abit more confidence to kick on.
  4. Its the Motherwell we all love. Just when your mind starts to think everthing motherwell is good, we do what we do again and get beat. Up and down. If Man City can get beat by Norwich, then i guess County beating us aint no great suprise. It seems they got the rub of the green today. Such is life.
  5. Recruitment for clubs at our level is getting more and more difficult. Money is everything in football. There are players who would rather sit in stand, than play for us on peanuts. The guys we sign are all punts, and need time to adjust. To many are quick to bin them or give them a chance. Yet, the guys that have apparently not been replaced, were punts as well. Football management is not easy. The guys shouting for sackings, are never going to be happy. Todate we have only been beaten by city clubs on much bigger resources. Yes, there are issues within our team, but we need to give them time and our support.
  6. What about the ones that we had before?
  7. nothing sticks up front. plenty of side passing, but once ball is played up, possession is lost.
  8. good tracking back, and good finish.
  9. Exactly, and he crapped out of a 50 50 and we nearly lost a goal.
  10. Dunne's distribution is far from the worst tonight.
  11. hearts will sit in now and waste time. To many players just not performing the basics.
  12. Tait is having a mare. Is Hylton on the pitch?
  13. If and its a big if it goes to penalties, i would rather have Gillespie in goals. He has saved a few.
  14. I wonder how much the booking to gallagher effected him. Also the handball leading upto their goal. Celtic are good enough without the officials help.
  15. Easy to be critical. We gave it ago, but got beat from a better team. Yes we made mistakes, but that is expected. Sure we could have played more defensive, but the result would probably be the same. At least we scored and tried to entertain, which is what people wanted.
  16. Is he the definite starter as per our managers chat or Johnsons replacement? Also cant believe the guy will be on mega bucks and is perhaps a punt with a view of a more experienced guy also comming in.
  17. Carson got 1st half and Gillespie 2nd half.
  18. Celtic want £25m for Tiermey who has and continues to have injury problems. Would be extremely disappointed if our club renegotiates. As i said get him back in a well shirt. Sod the money. We can always sell someone else down the line for mega bucks.
  19. Maybe in the Turnbulls interest for our club to say you dont need this crap and pull out of the deal. Get him back playing, perhaps another new contract and see where we are in a season. Turnbull wants to play. May as well be here where he will be appreciated.
  20. Would have been nice for an opening home game for once. Fine margins in this league and an away game to start is never easy.
  21. Maybe Turnbull did not want to move at this stage, as he was guaranteed to play every game, but realised that the transfer fee was huge for us, so has reluctantly decided to move on. His options seem limited for continually to play every 1st team game and has decided celtic might be best at current time.
  22. Maybe Busta is being highly influenced by the celtic mind pr machine being cranked up in the media, lol. Hopefully young David goes to a place where he will play regular football.
  23. Anyhow £200k is a pathetic amount given modern day transfer dealings, especially involving english clubs given the money they continue to receive from sky and the various sponsers. It would seem strange to settle for less for an established 1st team player, than what we have agreed to release youth players who have not played a 1st team game.
  24. To sell for 200k, if true, you would think the sell on percentage would need to be pretty high, to recoup even just his true value. Surely settling for such a low amount, is dangerous to other transfer dealings with other out of contract players.
