  1. Mcmanus is bar one game the consistant in defence. Hes a liability.
  2. Another header another goal. Who is at fault this time? Probably one on the usual culprits. We cant defend.
  3. Its you that needs to get a grip.
  4. Crickey, not happy about writing players off after 1 game, we are now writing off players who we've not even signed yet. Some need to get a grip on reality. Remember some of our best players have come out of nowhere with no apparent pedigree, i.e. McDonald, Arnott, Kirk, Law etc etc. We need players in and time will tell on whether they do/did a good job for us, so give it a rest about he's crap etc. Just be happy that we are actually involved in a last day transfer window, after all these boring non events in previous years.
  5. Given the circumstances, that was a good battling point. We are getting their slowly.
  6. The question i would like asked directly to the players, is whats has happened to the team spirit. Nobody is busting a gut to help a fellow teammate, no pats on the back to encourage, no bollockings demanding more, noone trying to organise. Just random guys with the same colour jersey trotting about with an apparent no giving a feck. Sure lack of confidence, can effect players, but even an below average team busting a gut can get mid table in the top league. We fought to 2nd last year. this year no fight what so ever.
  7. Nothing unlucky about Not defending set plays yet again. Given the amount of actual so called defenders in the team, it's something that should not be happening every game.
  8. My concern, maybe because i know so little about our manager, is that he talks a good game, but has he pulled the wool over our decision makers eyes about what he can actually do. Still think Black influence is more of a hinderance, and that some of our players are hiding in the treatment rooom. It's still early days, but for a guy who says he is an organiser, i reckon we've become even softer and more ill disciplined. We are heading down, and you know what i dont really care such is the apathy i feel for this team. Sad days.
  9. Our goalie reminds me alot of Mark Brown, remember him?? Good at stopping shots but a total bombscare at crosses and did not or could not organise the defence. Alot has been said of our poor or lack of midfield, but a commanding goalie or at least a guy who can organise the defence can and has in the past papered over the cracks. We badly need to build our team from the back. Get a big goalie in, who can command the box. This will at least give our defence some freedom to push forward.
  10. 1st goal: Kerr gave the ball away. But who's mistake was it to be so out of line of the others in the backline, then try play offside and then give up the chase? We are not talking about a youngster here, its McManus a guy who's got international experience for fecks sake. 2nd goal: Goalie makes a mess of things, and it costs us again.
  11. The manager was probably protecting Thomas today by putting him on the bench.
  12. can only presume his injury knackered any chance he had in the game. Kerr is young player, who will make mistakes. But playing out of position and then being put in your natural position with a center back of McManus' lack of ability has certainly not helped him and if anything made him worse. Remember Hutchinson seemed to go backwards when paired with McManus.
  13. McManus, Kerr, Reid, Law. Seriously, surely their are better younger players than these imposters. McCall did say that Kerr was shocking with the ball at his feet, and what does he do, signs him up again and then sign's his twin in O'brien, who also cant pass a ball. Sure, you wage budget was slashed, but come on junior players can pass a ball as well as run about like headless chickens. We need a LEADER at the back, who can also organise. Lasley would be as well clattering McManus and saving the manager the hassle of dropping him.
  14. kerr gave the ball away far to easy i agree, but what was mcmanus doing? tried to play offside and then gave up the chase. Lasley is our midfield, and you wont win games with only 1 player in that area.
  15. To many of our players are hiding, either on the football field or in the treatment room. These players all be it average pros are/were good enough to grind out top league finishes in Scottish football and under the guidance apparently of a useless manager. But now have suddenly chucked it? Why? What's changed behind the scenes? Bonus money cut? Players taking huff because theirs pals were not signed? Sure other teams have improved but we've collapsed and suddenly can't even do the basics. Team spirit and togetherness which we must have had, has vannished and been replaced by gutless individuals.
  16. Why not? not any worse than some of the suggestions. Me thinks his departure started the downward spiral that we find ourselves in now. Maybe, his fellow players and mates would rediscover the form they had if he returned. We would however need a very good assistant manager with bags of experience and organisation skills.
  17. What about Faddy as a player manager, with a experienced quality number two? From what i saw last season, Faddy is a leader, has loads of passion and determination to win. I'm sure he's been doing his coaching exams.
  18. Sorry to see McCall go, as he is a good guy. He's been badly let down by his backroom staff (why they still have brass neck to still hang around speaks volumes) and certain players. McCall has done the decent thing and they should also. They serve no purpose to hang about. Why Leitch? surely JJ should be in charge until a new manager is appointed. As for the next appointment even on a temp basis, the fans need to remember their feelings when McCall signed up. Not fancied, but until now he certainly delivered in very difficult times. Time to trust the board to do the right thing again, and be patient when the new guy is appointed. Our club has done well in recent times by having a good solid backbone of senior pro's who have been in and around Motherwell a long time. Even if their form has dipped, and they should be benched, they are still invaluable to have in the squad. Time to move on into a new era and hopefully upwards. All the best in the future Mr McCall.
  19. More or less same players as last season which means theyve downed tools for a reason.
  20. Maybe we need to get rid of black and marshall before mccall goes. Look at the difference at aston villa with some background sackings. I like mccall but he needs help by the look of things. Did faddys departure and clarksons none contract p of some of our senior players. Hence their lack of effort since.
  21. Sh@t happens from time to time. We have enough ability in the squad, so it's time for the characters in our team to roll up sleeves and apply themselves. Hard work and effort will see us through this so called crisis. Win all remaining games, and the title is ours! well maybe not! but there is plenty of time to sort this mess out. The fans continue is show support, so it's time the players battered in!
  22. If our club has a cashflow problem to such an extent that we let muphy go for peanuts, when it is known we would be compensated at the end of his contract in anycase plus his help in attaining higher placing, then sorry it extremely bad management. Transfer fees should not be relied upon especially as you say big transfer fees are now out, tho every other club seem to constantly do better in obtaining higher fees. It seems our budgeting is unrealistic. Remember McCall apparently had monies to bring in another player, but declined to do so! Just as well by the looks of things.
  23. What is the point of investing in a youth policy and especially a boy whos been here for probably 10 years and then letting them leave for practically nothing. Once you deduct taxes etc we have been left a pittance, meanwhile monies sit in an account from the society doing what exactly? But they still want your money to watch an ever decreasing squad and quality. If there is a cashflow problem then its bad mangement. Our club will not grow by constanly underselling our assets. No player or staff is going to stay when the higher management of the club show no ambition.
  24. We need a leader and organiser. We cant afford to let any players go without replacing them. Our squad is small enough as it is.

    Ojamaa

Unless Ojamaa's unsettled then he would be better staying put, playing, learning and hopefully improving. Constantly changing clubs especially at such a young age cant be good for your career surely.
