  1. Just him in general. The fact we kept Rangers down to just two that day remains a mystery. thisGRAEME puts it more eloquently that I can. Heavy shite.
  2. For the first team? Not that I can recall that (happy to be corrected, though). The first and only time I saw him play at left-back was a League Cup tie against Raith Rovers at Fir Park. Possibly in McGhee's first spell? IIRC, his first start was away to Livingston at the end of a season (played left-wing, i'm sure) before coming into centre-half in a home game against Aberdeen (06/07 I believe) a game of two after the Bobby Donnelly fiasco.
  3. Has he ever played at left-back, consistently, at any point in his career? I'm sure he had a few games at Sheffield Wednesday and bombed spectacularly. It seems for any left-sided defender there is a general acceptance that "aye, could probably do a job at left-back". For no other reason that he kicks predominately with his left foot. Reynolds was a decent player for us, but I'd pass on the option of resigning him.
  4. A Scottish media hyping him up to a ridiculous level, because they assumed he was on his way to Rangers. Amazing to think, with Utd's sales of Goodwillie, Russell, Gauld, Robertson, GMS, Armstrong & Ciftci, they've raked in over £12m, if figures are to believed, in the last five years. And they still got relegated!
  5. Agreed. We also have Ferguson who has been involved with the first team this season. McGuire is also playing well for the u20s, so there's options there if he were to move on.
  6. What do we owe Boyle & Hutchinson? Around about £1m all in? If there's any truth to these rumours, and we can generate anywhere near half of that for a guy who, IMO, is decent but is a million fucking miles away from being the finished product, then I'm all for it.
  7. Finished 9-1. Get them on the teamsheet for Friday night.
  8. They should be fit for Friday night, eh? Get them in the first XI.
  9. 0 goals in 35 appearances for Burnley. Sold for £1m. English fitba, eh?
  10. Aye, what's the problem here with playing Aberdeen on a Friday night in December? They have a large central-based support so the crowd will still be fairly decent I'd imagine. Price incentives? How big a discount did Motherwell fans get for the game at Pittodrie last week? They are going through their usual winter wobble. In about them from the start and we can get something from this. 2-1 Motherwell.
  11. Aberdeen always go through a sticky spell at some point in the season. They've bottled it against Celtic and Rangers recently, and failed to score against St. Johnstone. If we score first, I think we can go on and win this. 2-1 Motherwell.
  12. Hasn't Cillian Sheridan played, and scored, in the Champions League? Some Cypriot side I'm sure? Other than that, what Joeboy said. A truly bizarre post by CrosshillWell.
  13. A home game against a team in the "bottom 7". With the league being so tight, I'd regard this as a must win. 3-1 Motherwell.
  14. Feel some are harsh by saying we capitulated in the second half. I think the main difference is Celtic turned up in the second half, they never in the first. The players gave it their all today, but for some, it's no longer at the required standard. Keith Lasley is finished. He's been a superb servant, but he was toyed with today by Celtic's midfield. The amount of times he gave away possession as well was criminal. Still, there were positives to take from today. Yes, it's a sore one but if we play like that against any other team in Scotland we'll win no bother. So let's make sure we do that starting from next week against Kilmarnock. It's going to be tight as fuck in the bottom six this season.
  15. Hearing we're going back in for Tam Scobbie after missing out this time last year. Terms are all but agreed and should be finalised the first week in January. With Hammell & Chalmers on the way out, he gives us competition in the left back area, as well as covering centre-half and midfield positions.

 Close the thread. We now know the story.
  17. Not going to look at the Internet either, and will give this a bash... 1992 - Rangers (a) 1993 - Rangers (h) 1994 - Dundee Utd (h) 1995 - ?? 1996 - Aberdeen (h) 1997 - Dundee Utd (a) 1998 - Rangers (a) 1999 - St. Johnstone (h) ?? 2000 - Ayr Utd - (h) 2001 - Dundee Utd (h) ?? 2002 - Dunfermline (a) 2003 - Rangers (n) 2004 - Inverness (h) 2005 - Kilmarnock (a) 2006 - St. Mirren (a) 2007 - St. Johnstone (h) 2008 - Dundee (h) 2009 - St. Mirren (a) 2010 - Inverness (a) 2011 - Celtic (n) 2012 - Aberdeen (h) 2013 - Aberdeen (h) 2014 - Albion Rovers (a) 2015 - Dundee Utd (h) 2016 - Inverness (h) Can't think of the 1995 one, as well as a couple of 'I think those are right' at the turn of the century.
  18. Charlie Adam scored twice that day IIRC. Marc Corcoran (yes, really!) ran riot down the left wing and had Martyn Corrigan on toast. I used to really enjoy going to Love Street. Not that day.
  19. That was a bastard. We later signed Neil Tarrant on loan on the basis of that one game, I'm sure. Unsurprisingly, he was shite and we'd have been better off with Chris Tarrant. I'd add Inverness in 2004. I think it was a quarter-final, and we were at home to a then First Division side. Gordon Marshall gets lobbed from about 30 yards early doors, and they shut up shop for the rest of the game. I was absolutely fuming walking home after that one.
  20. Hammell and Lasley shouldn't, but probably will. Lee Lucas deserves to start, following his performance against Ross County.
  21. I'm of the understanding that he's done no training whatsoever since he's been out. So he's went three months without doing a thing. On top of that, it's a head injury so he'll understandably be eased back in. The end of January will probably be a decent estimate for a potential return. Great news that he's on his way back. It must have been an utterly horrible experience to go through.
