  1. In our team of the mid 90s, the late Jamie Dolan was very much the unsung hero. The cup winning team of 91 contained a few, none more so than Jim Griffin.
  2. Clarky had a very good season, but for me Crags keeps our defence steady and we miss him like hell when he's out. So my vote went to Stephen Craigan. Plus he likes St Helens rugby team too!!!
  3. Sure he had a spell on loan at the Arabs too.
  4. Nick Colgan was released by Sunderland, worth a punt on him?

    Bigpie

The bigger they are...... Still a classic, even after 17 years!!
  6. Some very interesting names in the various stages of the draw, here's hoping we can progress to the 3rd Qualifying Round at least.
  7. Never has one player polarised the support in quite the way Bob Malcolm has! I have no axe to grind with him, he did his best for Motherwell and I wish him luck in Oz.

    Canterbury

Something like that would be superb Petty, here's hoping! Oh aye, and a black away strip too please!
  9. The closer the better, as we want a decent crowd at all the Europa League ties we play. Also the club have to consider making it as cheap as possible, considering there are extra travel expenses for a 'home' game not on the season ticket, added to the cost of the fourth new kit in as many years. A fiver a skull would be fair.
  10. Think finance will have a lot to do with whoever Aberdeen appoint, and if Eric Black is in the frame it should be easier to get him. I hope MMG stays, but as others have said if he has to go then it must be soon, as we need to move forward with our plans, which have become an even more pressing issue after today's anouncement.
  11. Superb news, and something to look forward to in late June. It now gives us a hugely interesting and exciting pre-season as long as we can progress through the rounds. Not sure I'll be able to make away games due to a new job, but some decent home games to look forward to. Now, all we need is our manager to stay and 6 new players....!!
  12. Of course not, there are more important things in life to worry about! However, until its officially announced there will be speculation and doubt.
  13. It won't be official until tomorrow at the earliest when all the reports are in at the SFA. Whoever gets in it'd be very interesting to see the final scores and how the teams were assessed. If it aint us I'll be disappointed, and dubious about the scoring, but would wish all the best to whoever represents Scotland in the Europa League, as we all probably should.
  14. Imrie and Morais for me too.

    Kilmarnock

Jim O'Brien was our most consistent threat going forward and gets my vote.
  16. Disgusting behaviour from the stewards, but please bear in mind that the match commander will instruct them to act in that way, so in fairness it'll be the fault of some power-crazed arsehole cop. The fun is slowly being stripped out of following your team at the same rate as ticket prices increase, a poor show all round.

    So It Begins...

No excuses if we have pitch problems next season. All we need now is a decent team to play on it.
  18. I think a few bodies will return from last week, like Hammy, Watty, Las and Fitzy. Perhaps the likes of Coach and Clarky might drop to the bench just to freshen it up a little. Whatever happens it'd be nice to go out with a bang. We've not even scored against Killie so we must put that right. If Kyle is injured for them I can't see them scoring, so 2-0 to us...and NO CARDS!!
  19. It certainly was the most poisonous build up and atmosphere I've ever seen for any Well game. I was offered a sizeable amount for my remaining season ticket voucher and refused. I kinda wish I'd sold it, the thought of that particular mhanky spending WAY over the odds to watch the biggest disappointment of his life is a hilarious one! The only drawback was the other lot benefitting from it and thinking we'd done it for them, then trying to be our best pals. Fuck off!
  20. I'd say Alan Muir turning down two strong nalty claims at Love Street in January, he shat it cos he didn't want to be the reason St Mirren lost their last game there.
  21. Having seen both Hutchinson and Page at reserve and under 19 level, they look excellent prospects and will hopefully be able to make the next step over the next year or so.
  22. Not sure a section of the Fir Park pitch will improve anyone's lawn, but this sounds like a great idea!
  23. That will allow the powers that be to select who they want to represent Scotland in Europe, rather than who actually deserves it. Why else would it be kept secret from the clubs?
  24. Happy birthday to the mighty Well, and happy anniversary for tomorrow!!
  25. There is no doubt that we'll have more outgoings over the summer, but if we'd repaired the pitch properly last year then we wouldn't be in this predicament. What MMG is saying may be realism, but at a time when we're trying to sell season tickets, its not the positive noises fans want to hear. If we canny compete with St Johnstone then that is a poor situation indeed.
