I'd much rather he plays his best for the remainder of the season while we pay his wages, letting him cement his place in the international squad. If there is a contractual issue, then a Turnbull type clause where we mutually agree a trigger for transfer suits both parties. Then everybody wins. That, for me, is good management.

Always dangerous to be relying on other teams. We have plenty of points available to push us up the the table. St Mirren and Livi are playing well right now (and even then we really should have won in Paisley). Dundee Utd are suffering the typical "newly promoted dip" and Killie, Accies and Ross County are all mediocre. So no excuses if we can't keep improving results.

To be fair, if I was the new gaffer charged with getting the first team sorted out, punting dead wood and trying to bring in new players all in the space of 10 days, the academy and the youth players would be low priority. Job number one is to make sure we aren't relegated. Job number two is "see job number one".

Sounded to me like we have add-ons the same way we had with guys like Marvin Johnson & Kipré i.e. cuts of their future transfers etc.
