  1. Looking forward to this one and how we play against a team that, presumably, will want to come forward more often. More space to attack, more defensive bombscares, or a bit of both?
  2. He does seem to have regressed in recent months.
  3. More sense from JBA, not sugar coating the 2nd half performance.
  4. I was thinking the same. I also remember when they were introduced, there was talk about them being "all weather". The reality being as long as it's not hot and dry, wet, wet and windy or freezing then they are usuable. Not playable, but usable. I'd much rather have seen Ayr Utd and Thistle's terrible grass promoted last season.
  5. Weather was terrible. Wet plastic pitch was terrible. Referee was terrible. A few players were terrible. But still delighted the football's back for the season. Now take your pick...
  6. Our overhitting corners practice is really paying off today.
  7. Dundee 0 - 0 at half time St Johnstone 0 - 0 at half time Livi 1 - 0 up at home to Brora Rangers It's almost like this is still mid preseason for the Premiership teams.
  8. Problem is very few want to be a professional ref, so there's not much competition.
  9. SOD, the goal machine. We've only won this season when he plays.
  10. Conditions look even worse now. No idea what footwear works on wet plastic with puddles.
  11. I appreciate the effort, but the camera work is like a combination of a weird French art house film and The Blair Witch Project. Just need a red balloon floating by and twig man.
  12. Cameraman only paid for a restricted view ticket.
  13. Could be 3-4-3 if Sparrow or SOD play in a more advanced position although, utlimately, we should have 9 or 10 in their half for most of the match.
  14. I used to stand in the East when it was terracing, and it was full of people who complained from kick-off to final whistle every week, regardless of the performance or result. I'm not sure if it has improved in recent years, or if it's just spread out more now that the fans occupy the entire stand rather than just half.
  15. Fair to say we have selected an attacking starting lineup.
  16. 100% I enjoyed his explanations of avoiding the long ball and how taking the extra 10 or 15 seconds can lead to better creation of chances (instead of conceding possession and losing a minute).
  17. Any complaints about SK's signings and training regime can be sent care-of Billie Bowie to Rugby Park.
  18. I see this on their website too, which reads like an old joke, but also useful advice.
  19. Not sure about being a counterattacking side. JBA seems to want a high press, which is the opposite of sitting back and hitting on the break.
  20. I remember a cup game we drew at Ochilview (0 - 0 I think) and went on to score 6 in the replay. Another plastic pitch, but I expect more improvement and a win. Would love to see a new central defender signed before then. McCowan's Highland Toffee anyone?
  21. Do you only chat about football when you're at the game? The mods on here are useless anyway, so doubt anything will change. Meanwhile, we only win games this season when SOD is playing. Discuss.
  22. Maswanhise was definitely more effective on Saturday. Although, tbf, Peterhead kept a good defensive shape that kept space behind to a minimum.
  23. Just listened to JBA's post match and he mentioned AP needs better crosses to be effective. He definitely looks more effective with the ball in front of him.
