  1. I see they won, but also see Stama didn't get any minutes.
  2. He mentioned in his interview last week that international recognition was one of the attractions of our club - that certainly didn't take long to pan out!
  3. Just let us know when you've started.
  4. Miller's contracted until summer 2026, so I'm not sure how much further either party would be willing to extend. We have the luxury of ignoring all bids in January and opening a bidding war next summer when he still has a year left.
  5. For me Casey still has more defensive lapses than the rest of the back line. I appreciate his attitude and the problems he can cause in the opponent's box at set pieces, but I wouldn't be averse to trying out other options there.
  6. Aye, still early days, but always better to be 4th than 11th at any stage of the season.
  7. International break after 3 wins on the bounce and 6 wins from 7. I feel like it's going to be quiet in here until the Dundee game.
  8. I see Theo got off the mark today. Although Auxerre lost 3 - 1.
  9. I agree Ox has been excellent and also agree Kelly was poor last season. There's a bit of revisionism going on though. Our entire defence was a bomb scare for all of last season - not just Kelly - and who knows how Ox would have coped with that. Also easy to forget that during Kelly's original 6 month loan spell he was so good he was was voted players' player of the year, despite only playing half a season. At that point most of us wanted him back, and when he returned the next season he was a top performer. Having said all that, I'm delighted that Ox is performing even better that we could have hoped. We definitely got the best side of that deal.
  10. I'm a big fan of defending your line and/or marking a post.
  11. Haven't given a stupid goal away since... checks watch.... last week. I know what you mean though, we have cut down on last season's defensive debacles.
  12. It's true in most sports, and even more true for goalies, that a good big'un beats a good little'un.
  13. Was looking at all the ex-Well players at St Mirren, and was wondering how Lee Erwin was doing these days after he left Paisley. I remembered he had played in Lebanon for a while, but didn't realise he was back in Finland where he's on a tear with 5 goals in 8 games. In fact, if you look at his record, since he left St Mirren he's played 66 league games and scored 40 goals. Obviously found a level where he excels.
  14. Halliday scores. Throwfi Balmer. Take your pick...
  15. The grand entrance that, regardless of content, rarely ends well Losing the crowd - reel it back in... Re-engage, don't alienate!! and make sure everyone knows you're leaving the ignorant plebs behind. For the record, I actually enjoyed hearing about your ideas, but a C- for interacting with the discussion.
  16. You missed Martin Foyle as head of recruitment.
  17. AT LEAST YOU DIDN'T WRITE IT IN ALL CAPS!!!
  18. Given the outcry over the 5G mast, I confidently predict I won't see a St John Stadium, Pettigrew Park or Philliben Field in my lifetime.
  19. Remember when we were a bit disappointed at losing 1 - 0 to Borussia Dortmund away, and ultimately seeing Paul Lambert join them on a Bosman? At least Celtic won't have to worry about any German interest in their players.
  20. Never quite sure who turns down who in these cases. It often seems that candidates come in with big ideas needing big budgets that automatically rules them out.
  21. I have no idea how he'll fare in the Premiership, but he has few sackings and a relegation to his name like many other managers, so is in good company.
  22. Exactly. Even the pro-Sheep team reluctantly admitted we were in decent financial shape - and that was before the Bair transfer and our recent cup run. We have time now to make sure the right structure and investment ideas are fully developed.
  23. "but you shag one sheep..."
