  1. There is. Only the opponents have to be outside the box. The ball is in play "when it is kicked and clearly moves" - and as soon as it's in play the opponents can also enter the box. The idea being it speeds up play and reduces time wasting.
  2. With his 22 goals, a key part of McCall's side that finished 2nd in the league (while losing to Albion Rovers in the Scottish Cup).
  3. Scott has improved because of a consistent starting spot at the end of last season and this. If he's not going to be the regular starter in the league, I think he'd be better off getting first team football as a loanee. Much better for development than playing in the half-baked Reserve league. Strikers, probably more than any other position, benefit from keeping sharp by playing competitive games.
  4. EDIT: let me try and get the formatting right this time The latest version of the relevant rule (Rule 9) I found on the IFAB website reads as follows: And the Procedure as per Rule 8 for a drop ball is now: So, the ref made the correct decision.
  5. Fake News!! Fake News!! Little "Al B Wrong" and his lies are polluting journalism. Lock him up!!!!
  6. Alan Hansen-esque (and I'm only half joking).
  7. I think Craggs summed up our 3 wide players. Seedorf has pace, Hylton is a dribbler that likes to take men on and Ilić has the class.
  8. Tanner is also a wide player (although the jury is obviously still out on if we'll see him again).
  9. To be honest, if we can bring in a striker or a winger better than what we have now, either one would be a good addition. Never any harm in improving your strike force.
  10. Robinson already said there is no chance of Aryibi coming back - because Aryibi didn't want to come back. (Although I take any transfer talk from any player, club, manager or agent with a huge grain of salt as we all know how quickly things change).
  11. And still have Sloth, Long and Cole to come.
  12. Gallagher looked excellent. I haven't seen much of him, but very impressed with his distribution from the back.
  13. And Morton still haven't scored at Fir Park since 1990, apparently.
  14. Very comfortable win without being overly stretched by Morton.
  15. Ilic denied by a goal line clearance.
  16. He does. Not quite in synch with a few of his new teammates couple of times, but already looks like he can find the pass in tight spaces around the box.
  17. Great touch and shot from Scott is blocked for a corner. Scott is denied his hat trick but Donnelly follows up for 4.
  18. Strapp makes 3 wild challenges and avoids a yellow. Handsome John is replaced McHugh. Ilic plays a nice pass to Hylton for 3 - 0.
  19. Grimmy on for Carroll.
  20. Hylton and Polworth combine to set up Scott for our second (and while we were down to 10 with Donnelly off for treatment). Scott looking more confident this half.
  21. Scrappy start to the second half, then Scott unleashed a 25 yarder the keeper did well to push over the bar. Then a clever corner almost let Seedorf in to score. Hylton still causing problems out wide on the left. Ilic on for Seedorf.
  22. I've never engaged with the official tweets out of pure being in my 50s.
  23. A wee bit of confidence would have seen Scott with his hat trick, but apart from the last couple of minutes there, Morton not really threatening. Our wingers have put the fear into them, so hopefully see more of that in the 2nd half.
  24. Nice goal. Scott just onside looking at replay. Like the look of Gallagher at the back, always looking to put a foot on the ball and find a pass.
