  1. Every player in every league gets to vote. Given that most of them never play against Turnbull and, statistically, about half or more are OF fans, they are always going to vote for a Rangers or Celtic player.
  2. I know you expect team mates to stick together, but any time guys like Hartley, Tanner, Cadden etc. are on the commentary, they all rate him. Hartley in particular always said he was great player to have in front of you. He might not be our best ever, but I'm never quite sure where the hate comes from.
  3. I don't think the problem was with our system otherwise you'd have expected him to do better at Killie. Seems to more abouthis attitude. He's young enough to fix that and have a decent career - or he might end up drifting between lower league teams. I'd expect as someone who is a full time Premiership player he'd shine against League One opposition.
  4. Of course you can never be 100% certain, but just from his comments on the MFC TV stream at the weekend, it sounds like Tanner expects to be with us next season.
  5. Win next week and we're back in 7th.
  6. Turnbull's distribution (by his own, normal high standards) was poor today. Thought McHugh and Tait were the pick of the bunch - although the entire team dropped that 1 or 2% you see happen in teams at the end of season with little to play for.
  7. Livi equalise. If both games finish this way we reclaim 7th this afternoon.
  8. Second half St Mirren have changed their tactic of double-marking Ariyibi to just hacking him down any time he gets the ball.
  9. Dominating possession without creating too many chances. A wee bit lucky the ref didn't award St Mirren a pen for Dunne's challenge (even though it was accidental). St Mirren look happy to sit in for a point at the moment. McHugh must be disappointing all his haters.
  10. Looks like Ariybi has been told to play more central today - almost in the slot behind Scott - with Tait taking on the duties for wide left.
  11. Might be a few Accies fans cheering us on too.
  12. What manager ever says a new signing is a "shoo-in"?
  13. We can agree a deal that suits both clubs, I think, with add-ons etc.
  14. He (or most likely his agent) managed to annoy Rangers and us. That's why they initially pulled the plug. The cynic in me wonders if Hastie would have been listed for Young Player of the Year if he had stayed at Fir Park. No doubt he had a fantastic hot streak, but I thought this award should be judged over the full season.
  15. Looking forward to the pre-season posts about how we look leggy and unfit in June and July and why all of the new signings are mince.
  16. Turnbull and Semple I'd say.
  17. That, plus writing guys off after they played a few games for us (Porter, Higdon, Dunne, Gorrin etc etc.)
  18. While it's obvious not every signing can make an impact, I have more faith in our scouts and coaches finding players that will fit into our system than random fans who haven't a clue what we are looking for.
  19. Perfect scenario for me is he stays at the club and becomes a key member of the famous 2023 Premiership winning squad.
  20. Fans scream for lots of things that are not fouls (or pens).
  21. Which would, at least, give Danny Johnson a second chance.
  22. There was certainly no doubt in yesterday's bookings. The ref got a lot wrong, but not those. As Robinson said in his post match yesterday, he's been banging on at him all season to stay on his feet. Bookings are always going to come when you dive in like he does. (I think he's a great player, btw, and will be a big loss if he moves on).
  23. If we lose Frear on top of Hastie and Ariyibi, it's going to be a big challenge to find players for a 2-winger system next season.
  24. Unfortunately, professional scouts tend to study players (and game DVDs) rather than listen to our parochial media.
