  1. The Accies game in particular, it seemed like we convinced ourselves we'd need to be ready for some massive, physical battle. When, in reality, this season's Accies is a poor shadow of what they were even last season. A bit of football from the kick off and it could have been very different.
  2. I think that's part of it. Crags was the same when he started with BT Sport - although, thankfully, he's moved away from that now. Outside of his media duties, I've never heard McCulloch say a bad word about us or his time with us, so not particularly bothered what he says about a particular game as a pundit.
  3. Delighted Bigi is showing why we brought him in. Even more delighted that Robinson is starting him.
  4. The key to dealing with crossess is don't let your opponent cross the ball. We don't have many players doing that.
  5. Need Dunne back ASAP. Wasn't convinced Hartley and Aldred could play together, and still need convincing now. Aldred was great in place of Hartley, but we lack speed and movement at the back.
  6. Email from the club said they were having internet issues. Of course, it started working for me after we went 3 - 2 down. Back to our usual "give away as many as Rangers need" performances of the past 20 years. Hopefully we'll fix that in the 2nd half.
  7. Got my dubious BT Sport stream running just in time for the 1st goal.
  8. Off to a good start with the live stream not working due to "internet problems at Fir Park".
  9. I think our defence can handle a big centre forward more easily than they can handle a nippy winger running at them (then, inevitably, letting him cut inside to shoot). Plus, as I mentioned earlier in the thread, both times Lafferty scored at Fir Park last season, we won - almost a good luck charm
  10. I don't know if they have better players (although the probably do) - but they seem to be better organized and are showing a bit more commitment all over the park. That alone makes it a tougher proposition tomorrow. Unfortunate how serious Murphy's injury turned out, but not unhappy about his absence tomorrow - he is always capable of doing some damage.
  11. I was concerned he'd throw Rangers a bone in the play-offs, but in fairness, he didn't really put a foot wrong from our perspective. Hope he does the same tomorrow.
  12. "Orange Walks are just about being pro-Protestant." "IRA songs are just about being pro Irish." "UKIP is just about being pro UK." "Confederate flag is just about celebrating our southern history" "KKK is just about being pro-white." Same old language. Same old bigotry. Welcome to the 21st century.
  13. Did they re-issue the 70s or just not sell many? My favourite is the 50s version with the hoop on the sleeves and rugby style collar, but the 60s effort is a close second.
  14. Signed up. I know it's an international service, but was pleasantly surprised my credit card transaction went through first time. 26 games guaranteed seems like a good deal. Hope the club makes some money from it, too.
  15. The most unforgivable part of the whole affair is that it lets Gerrard and Rangers adopt the moral high ground.
  16. Gerrard's from Liverpool. Pretty sure he's up to speed with the whole 'sectarianism' thing and the mentality of the OF and the media.
  17. I imagine it also depends if the service they use checks device location and/or the use of a VPN. Of course there are ways around that too, but just takes a little more effort.
  18. This - plus it just unprofessional making a public statement about enjoying the injury of a fellow player. Doubly so, when you are representing the club as a captain.
  19. I meant refs are subject to being influenced by all sorts of external factors, but reputation will do it too. I'd bet Jim Goodwin picked up a few more yellows based on his reputation where someone like Joe Wark was given the benefit of the doubt.
  20. So you think if Scott Brown played for us he'd have more or less cards? If you think it would be more, then you are agreeing the refs are influenced by external forces.
  21. Didn't notice that. Hopefully the media team is just tied up in launching the new service and it will be back to normal after that.
  22. Not exactly emphatic, with lots of caveats, but at least a little more scientific. (And, in fact, implies that players with blades were more likely to be injured on older 3G pitches).
  23. I watched Villa vs Brentford yesterday. I think he'd do better with either of those teams as they players on the park that were creating chances and playing in their strikers. Having said that, he's not the first striker that has moved on from Fir Park and struggled to score goals. Our style has suited a lot of players like Sutton, Moult and Higdon and they have thrived on it.
  24. I think that lack of highlights is just League Cup (because BT Sport own those rights). Apparently it's the BBC feed we're going to get for the live stream - with the Mixlr commentary team. But that remains to be seen. I have heard nothing official about it.
