I don't know all the gory details, but Vancouver had apparently to secure Rose's "MLS rights from Seattle" which they did by giving them $50,000 in "General Allocation Money." Aye, exactly. I'm OK with the idea of a winter break - especially with the transfer window in action. Gives teams some time to regroup for the 2nd half of the season and let new signings bed in to a team. I think packing so many games into December instead, is stupid though. At his peak he offered much more than Moult. His peak years were probably at Leeds, but he's always been a talent as his transfer fees show (11 million to Fulham, 12 million to Aston Villa). Very skillful footballer and can take a great free kick. Haven't seen him play for a while, so no idea what level he's at these days, but imagine he can still put in a good shift. If you search for him on youtube there are a few compilations of his goals at Leeds and Fulham.

Nobody doubted his ability, the concern was that we needed to replace the pace that we lost when Kipré left. That proved to be even more cruical when Dunne got injured. The goal we conceded today is a perfect example of our lack of pace at the back.
