  1. I imagine it will be closer to regular SPFL prices for this one. Maybe a few quid less.
  2. Sounds like you didn't understand the request to stand behind the yellow line. Maybe you were confused by the paint on the stairs.
  3. Who does that? Just scroll back a few pages to see someone complaining about a guy screaming abuse at Ainsworth yesterday for no other reason that he hates him. Josh Law has been the target for a long time too. It must really upset you when our players shake the opponents' hands after the game too. What are they thinking?!
  4. I'd rather have our fans applaudding the opposition than doling out needless and undeserved abuse to random Motherwell players they take an irrational dislike to.
  5. Having watched Sportscene, I'll still take Annan in the next round. Dunfermline looked tasty and unlucky not to beat County. (And the Hearts game next week is going to be tough.)
  6. He wouldn't make my first 11 in best 'Well players I've watched, and always felt he didn't quite fulfill his potential down south, but no doubt he has been a great servant to the club.
  7. It got to the stage even MJC didn't believe his own patter.
  8. Some poeple saying Grimshaw's deal hasn't expired yet, so not sure. Certainly haven't seen anything from official sources yet.
  9. I liked what McGhee said yesterday about the squad in general. Feels he needs 40 points or so in the league to be safe and after that he would like to start giving the youngsters more game time. For the Cup, he didn't think we were in a position to mix things up, so just carry on with what has been successful so far.
  10. TBF, when we had a good national side it was full of players from Liverpool, Man U, Leeds, Chelsea etc.
  11. You said "From what I've seen, its my opinion the SPL is poor product". If you meant "the club" then the SPL is not really the correct term. Over the years, the club has given away tickets to local youth organizations, reduced ticket prices for many games, offered the 10 game season tickets, offered bring a friend for free, offered counltess activities for kids. They have supported the Well Bois efforts, they have conducted open meetings to solicit suggestions for improvement, they have kicked off the Well Society. In recent times, the new owner has restructured the Board, implemented a new scouting system, hired a sports scientist to work with the players, and for the first time in a ling time, approved transfer fees for players we hope to be able to develop and sell on. And that's off the top of my head in 30 seconds. I'm sure there's more. I've answered your quesiton, how about you answer mine. What would you like the club to try that they haven't yet tried?
  12. Well one recent attempt to improve the SPL (where have you seen no attempts) is that we no longer have an SPL. We have the SPFL with a different financial distribution model and play-offs every season.
  13. Aye. I can't tell you how often we'd stand on the terraces shouting "Mon, Joe - yir the acme of constructive play!"
  14. You're just a youngster. When I was a wean, the BBC weather was always in Farenheit.
  15. Do we still have covers? Sounds like that should be enough to keep the game on.
  16. Going back to the "matchday experience", like others I'm not exactly sure what that is. However, one thing that I haven't enjoyed over the years is the all seated stadia; particularly in the winter. I always found it better standing on the terrace when it was cold, as you could move about a bit more to keep warm. Having your knees up at your chin isn't much fun either.
  17. I think we'll win, but I don't remember setting the Cups on fire under McGhee's last stint.
  18. Thankfully, there are never any moves of OF players to Motherwell, otherwise we'd look a little hypocritical.
  19. Playing a Highland League team at home. We're on an unbeaten run. McGhee just picked up Manager of the Month. WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG????
  20. I see that happening with telly, and all the talentless people who become famous for being racist on 'reality' TV, but choose not to watch any of that. It's probably easier over here to avoid the endless stream of football gossip etc. about football, but I don't see as much of that aspect here. Of course, getting older contributes to those jaded feelings too.
