  1. It's a bad day in Govan when you can't rely on the Establishment to suck up to you.
  2. I don't have more. I thought I had read it on here somewhere.
  3. Was the Thomas story not something about off-the-park issues? I thought we basically ditched him a few weeks ago.
  4. Everyone needs to file this season away for reference so they remember in graphic detail what it's like to have a bad one. We were spoiled for a few seasons there, but like every season for me - not getting relegated is my starting point for success. Looking forward to mid-table mediocrity in 2015/16!
  5. Aye, I just assumed when it mentioned "indivduals" it included Skippy. Of course, it's quite possible he already has plenty on offer elsewhere - I doubt he'll be lacking any opportunities.
  6. I read this piece assuming Skippy would be one of the individuals they would be having a conversation with:
  7. I hope Bara has more creative ideas than that.
  8. Would be fine as part of a "2014/2015 Season" DVD or similar, but on it's own would seem a bit small-minded and Old Firmish.
  9. All from the same (new) poster too. Might be someone (or a bot) trying to generate traffic to that site.
  10. The last couple of Sportsound podcasts, Ferguson has come across as the voice of reason - not difficult in that company, I know. He has been first to point out how Motherwell were by far the better team, and Rangers needed to accept it and get on with it. 'Flow was excellent tonight, Tom English seemed to spend most of the evening contradicting himself and Chic Young was pretty obnoxious even by his standards.
  11. I haven't watched it since the original broadcast, but "can wait their turn" is also what I thought was said.
  12. At the Well Society Q&A it was said that because of the Development Fee situation, the rules say we get a small % of every subsequent transfer too.
  13. I miss the days of Richard Park and Jimmy Sanderson. They often talked mince, but they didn't fawn over the Glasgow teams.
  14. I'm still hopeful we might get a last minute change of mind from Erwin, but if not, he will be a loss. However, 500k + add-ons for an out of contract player is at least better than seeing a senior player walk out the door for hee-haw.
  15. I've always been in the "50% of a game changing talent is better than 100% of a worker" camp. Of course, it's ultimately about balance and you need a mix of both. I'd hate to have a midfield consisting of 4 Lasleys or 4 Ainsworths, but if there is a guy out there with Lionel's talent, plays hard 100% of the time and tackles hard off the ball - he won't be playing anywhere near Fir Park. Be happy to see him back in the team next season.
  16. Given his injury situation, I doubt we'd have felt comfortable offering Erwin an improved deal last summer.
  17. Distraught to hear the fact they don't want to spend another penny at Fir Park. Imagine how awful it would be if newRangers fans never set foot inside our ground again.
  18. True, but as always, it's a case of "more wages for sitting on the bench vs. less wages and establishing yourself". There's no substitute for playing time for developing a career.
  19. And looking on other teams' forums it seems we are their number one friend. That likely won't last through the summer, but it was a good feeling to have most of Scotland cheering us on. Even the Jambo's were delighted.
  20. When the OF are in town, the polis want to get people in and out as quickly as possible. It's all about crowd management - not about how many arrests they can make or infiltrators they can eject. If making an arrest is likely to spark more trouble, they are always going to pass on the chance. I'm not saying it's fair, but unless there is one officer per fan, it's always going to be how it happens.
  21. Was hoping Erwin might sign one more deal, especially after we nursed him through his two bad injuries. However, it does seem that we'd get some decent money for him (and continue to do so for all future transfers). So it would be decent business, and an overdue success from our youth system. Would love to see Skippy join Pearson with a 2 year contract, but if he is settled in England, then I'm sure he won't be short of options closer to home.
  22. Was a reading a thread on one of the Jambos forums talking about how much they had enjoyed the play-offs since they were re-introduced. One poster said "They're a bit pro-Lanarkshire, IMO".
  23. He's out of contract and in his pre-match interview said he loved his time at Motherwell and would be interested in a deal. Of course, that might just have been him saying the right things, but he seemed genuinely impressed about the time he spent with us.
