  1. Statistically, either us or one of our rivals is going to bottle it. It happens most seasons. Assuming it's not us, we need to be going full steam at full strength in every game until it's mathematically impossible to finish 10th.
  2. Jim Gillespie was bad, but he was no John Reilly.
  3. Do clubs not have insurance that pays out in these kinds of situations?
  4. So what will happen is that we will finish 11th, extend their loan, gub Rangers in the final and then get relegated when Rangers complain to the SFA about illegal loans and the SFA changes their rules to accomodate them.
  5. Hoepfully it will include the ability to sign up with a non-UK bank account. Still haven't upgraded because of this.
  6. That's because it was redistrubted amongst the other clubs - not handed over to the governing body,

According to http://sport.stv.tv/football/272002-sfa-confirm-parachute-payments-for-premiership-playoff-clubs/: If that's still true, it would certainly help offset gate revenue losses.
  8. It was actually the way he bossed the young Killie defenders that he was talking about rather than as a fresh pair of legs.
  9. The Killie manager said Sutton changed the game, so that's a pretty unbiased source.
  10. If I was scheduling TV, our Ross County game would be last game of the season.
  11. I wondered what happened to MJC. Do you get any enjoyment out of the club at all? If we are preparing for the Championship now, you are going to get Championship level performances. When we had to win our last 3 games last season, we pulled it off. We need the same attitude now. Not this defeatest crap.
  12. To be fair, though, all our central defenders have mastered the art of leaving men unmarked at least 3 times per game.

It's not a reality at the mo It's not a reality though, only a possibility. Regardless, 6 months ago, it would have given me the fear. With the new investment and improved business approaches, I think the impact would be less severe. If Rangers didn't get promoted this time, it would make it more difficult for us to get out, but the financial situation would be healthier. There is also a better parachute payment to tide us over. There is no reason we couldn't do a Hearts if it happened. However, even after Staruday's game, I think there is still a good chance it won't come to that.
  14. 8? That sounds surprisingly low. I'll stick with Johnson for now, though.
  15. Sometimes opponents have good players. Would be pretty boring league otherwise. Higginbotham needs to be stopped in the midfield. They have Ainsworth, Johnson, Big Lee, Skippy to worry about. And when they have tried to deal with them, Dom Thomas and Sutton will be rolled out.
  16. Don't think this will be the decisive weekend. Probably end up with us and County drawing and the real fun starting after the split.
  17. So you think it's fair in England if at the end of the season your team is 15 points ahead of the team that gets promoted? If it's that good, why not let the top 4 teams in the SPFL play each other to decide who are the Champions? Maybe call it Scottish Major League Playoffs.
  18. It's a complete mystery and something I'd love to hear our Board answer.
  19. This. It makes a joke of a league format and unfair on teams that are better than their rivals over the course of a season and then lose out in what is, in effect, a cup tie.

    Baraclough Out

I don't think it's dodgy if it is properly managed. Bring in a manager at a lower salary, have him develop youngsters and sell them on giving him a cut. It won't be McNamara that decides to sell anyone - it will 100% be the Board (or even just Thompson).
  21. Completely agree. As long as we stay within reach of 9th and 10th, post-split is where the real fun starts.
  22. I think you might be right.
