So given the value of this asset, why didn't you borrow a million from the bank and lend it to the club? Presumably the bank would have been delighted with the security you were offering, and you could implement all your great ideas on how to run the club from top to bottom.

It was Jack Nicklaus that said he always loved to hear other golfers complaining about the condition of a golf course they were about to play, because he knew they were already making excuses in their head and wouldn't be challenging him that week. It's good to have guys like Pearson and Skippy in the team - guys who have what it takes to perform at Ibrox and love nothing more than to stick it up them.
