I'd stick to Photon or Skyfire etc. for now. It's non-trivial to jailbreak your device and install xbmc. You don't want it bricked 10 minutes before kick off.

Aye, for non-jail broken iPad/iPhones I have used the Photon browser. I know lots of folks use skyfire too, but you'll need something along those lines.

If they do defend deep, then hopefully our ball players like Vigurs and Law, coupled with ZFA and Ainsworth out wide, will be able to crack them open. Be interesting to see how both teams react if we get the first goal.

Pure speculation from both of us, but I found his contribution underwhleming last season and not worth his top earner status. If we had paid someone else less money that could have played 30 games, I think we would still have finished second. Two seasons ago, he was definitely worth it.

That article says "Strathclyde Police aims to start charging clubs for the officers it deploys outside stadiums as well as inside, which could land them with a bill of more than £3m a year." which means Steelboy was wrong (assuming they did start charging us for officers outside the stadium).

I remember reading somewhere that, unlike in England, the Scottish clubs are liable for some of the policing costs outside the ground, but I don't know if that is accurate. I have no idea how much we pay in policing costs inside the ground and couldn't find it anywhere - be an interesting figure to see.

Agree with all of that. A competitive match is what we need to sharpen match fitness and another friendly wouldn't give us much in that regard. Personal fitness can be worked on on the training ground. I'm quietly optimistic we can win the away leg (or, knowing us, go 3 up and then hold on for a 3 - 3). Our away form has generally been pretty good.

To be fair, the Board has been very open about this and regularly updates the fans on the reasons for our losses (from lack of league sponsorship, to changes in prize money to having no Rangers in the top flight etc.). The reason we know of the large losses is because of that transparency. Utd. spend a comparatively huge amount of money on young players on long contracts that we can't afford. However, when they have the chance to sell one on, most of the fee goes to pay off the millions in debt they still owe. While they had fans that paid off their bank debt, the debt wasn't cleared - just moved to more favourable terms. From memory, they had close to 4 million taken over by benefactors - an amount that would have put us back in administration. Plus, of course, for all the great young players they are bringing through, we still manage to stay ahead of them in terms of league position.
