I think this is a key point in any tactical discussion. You can have the best tactics in the world, but if the players don't execute, or are just off form, they won't work.

What's the point in trying to reason with the ref? When you are 5 years old you learn not to argue with them. They never change their mind and players shouldn't be getting involved.

Based on our lack of selling the last couple of seasons, I wouldn't be surprised if we had to sell 2 players.

Or get used as a sub, or played in a different position (like Kerr against Kille). Youngsters, regardless of talent, blow hot and cold. They also lose the 'unknown' factor once teams work them out. Ojamaa is a great example of that. One of his advantages last season was teams hadn't matched up against him before. This season, they know what to expect and set up to counter him much more effectively. It's easy for a young player to lose confidence that way.

Not sure if we do it for every sale, but I think we usually do sell-on and even international call-up clauses. As I recall, we got some extra cash when Faddy moved on.

We have a very small squad and lost experience in a few positions. The youngsters will have plenty of chances in the season ahead with injuries, suspensions, loss of form and the need to rest players. It's great that we have guys like ZFA and Cummins that can step up, but the last thing we want to do is ask them to do too much too soon, or burn them out.

Having the MFC TV commentators (who are not exactly unbiased) saying that the defence 'switched off' for the first goal, paints a pretty good picture of the performance. They also mentioned how naive we were at times. Maybe they saw something you didn't.

Exactly why I hate it. American's are completely useless at inventing chants. All they have round this part of the country is "U-S-A" and "J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets". Gets very old very quick.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. That is the most annoying and worst chant ever. Last place I want to be hearing that is Fir Park.
