100% this. If you eliminated OF connections, we would have missed out on the successful spells from Davie Hay, Tommy McLean, Mark McGhee (1st spell), Stuart McCall and Craig Brown.

I had imagined when Brown took over at Ayr he'd be building a team in his own image. However, he has done the exact opposite, and I have really enjoyed watching them in the Friday night games I've seen. Would be a bit of a punt from a managerial experience perspective, but no doubts he knows the Scottish game inside out.

It's win-win in these games. If Celtic get stuffed, it's hilarious because it's Celtic getting stuffed. If Celtic win, it's hilarious, because the English media have to deal with their precious EPL teams losing to a Scottish pub side. Then either way, we get to hear Brenda moaning about the finanical gap between the two teams.

I know it's a bit easier from 3000 miles away, but I don't even bother with the media at times like this. The days when they reported news rather than looked for clicks has long gone.

Our form has been inconsistent this season, but so has the form of our immediate competitors. That's why it's such a tight league. I've seen plenty of relegation-form Motherwell teams and this doesn't look like any of them (yet). There's certainly good arguments to made about changes being required - whether that includes tactics, playing personnel or manager. I don't think that argument needs to involve relegation struggles because we lost 2 league games in a row. If we'd done an Aberdeen and Lost 8, Drawn 2 of our last 10, then relegation would be 100% in the mix.

I can't remember the media correctly predicting our new manager since around the Tommy McLean appointment.
