  1. MFC tweeted the Delvin news yesterday, so definitely correct. Good to hear.

    Pitch Invasion

Really? Even in the Motherwell support there are plenty of eejits who would do exactly that. The bottom line is that in the 70s and 80s, there were lots of tanked up morons who, on occasion, made going to a football match a miserable experience. That is why the polis and the authorities came down heavy handed, and why alcohol was banned from the grounds. We can argue whether it was an overreaction or not, but it's clear that is why all the extra rules and regs were put in place. It's going to take a lot longer to rid ourselves of these constraints now than it ever did to introduce them.
  3. Haven't seen much of him, obviously, but when I have been reading the Utd. forums, the fans really rate him and seem to reackon he has been by far their best defender.
  4. Voted for by the players, so no real complaints.
  5. Players don't care any more about the good of the game than the Boards of Directors - they are all part of the same system. Very few are going to bite the hand that feeds them.

    Pitch Invasion

Because, historically, a significant section of Scottish fans (and we all know who they are) are incapable of behaving. Unfortunately, that has had a knock-on effect from drinking inside grounds to partying on the pitch a the end of season.
  7. As long as we don't play like we did in Nancy.
  8. Maybe he just feels that when he comes on as sub he doesn't deserve the plaudits and, instead, leaves those for the others.
  9. No' bad. Up there with when we won the First Division with Davie Hay.

I doubt Rangers will lose to St. Johnstone in their final game.
  11. If we do get that Champions League place, this is one of those occasions where Player of the Year should just go to the entire team. (How's that for a cop out?)
  12. I think all he was trying to say was that it's finishing 3rd that is a great achievement regardless of whether the reward for that is Europa Cup or Champions League.
  13. No luck involved from what I saw. Higgy has a great touch and he has scored a few goals by passing them into the back of the net.
  14. Goal up on MFC TV now, and highlights up on the Beeb website.
  15. I'm 83% sure that at least 51% of what is post is better than 75% accurate.
  16. It might be bad, but it's not as bad as having to rely on Twitter or BBC updates!
  17. Now we have the Well Society, we should be the ones involved in such a business decision. So give us the facts and let us decide.
  18. Just because we discuss it, doesn't mean it's true. And I'm 100% sure that 99% of what is written on here is 110% guff.
  19. Aye, but they're not going to beat us - so not a big problem.
  20. Ridiculous. Why would Clarkson want to play second fiddle to Porter?
  21. Yes, but the question was about newco allowed back in the SPL. With appeals etc. the tax cases will likely be rumbling on years after the vote on any newco so we won't know the verdicts on the alleged crimes until long after the newco votes takes place. Or Rangers might come to a settlement with HMRC and pay them without admission of guilt. How does that affect punishment?
  22. I agree with that. My problem is that all this newco malarky (if it happens) will take place long before we hear the out come of the tax cases in particular. It's such a mess right now, I'm not sure what my preferred sanctions would be. If the SPL is serious about multiple year point deductions, stripping of 75% of revenues, change of voting structure, and maybe revocation of a Euro license for 2 or 3 years, I could live with that *if* administration/newco was all we were dealing with. If it is shown that there was years (or decades) of systematic cheating, I'd want newco kicked out the league.
  23. And it's the 'allegedly' that is one of the issues. What if Rangers form newco in June and are voted back into the SPL and subsequently found not guilty of any tax avoidance or player contract fiddling? Are people OK with that?
