  1. The club did respond further up the page.
  2. And there is a good answer to people who ask "Why don't we rush out and sign up player X on loan when everybody else is doing it?" It's not just about the player, it's about whether they can play in our system.
  3. Well take yir sash off first in case the vomit stains it
  4. I know 'Well fans that said that about Dougie Arnott when he joined us.
  5. But a lot to do with being the type of 'Well fan that decides what a player is going to contribute to our team before he has kicked a ball.
  6. An Irish internationlist and one of the stars of the German U-19 team? Would you prefer we signed someone from the Locos tonight?
  7. Seems like he was quite a prospect before his injury. Clicky
  8. It was posted on Saturday However, it hasn't been officially completed. EDIT: I see Dave beat me to it.
  9. When you go through the season we had last year with our pitch, we all became horticultural and drainage experts.
  10. This thread is great. Teams like Arsenal can't get the players they want, but we should be able to go and pick up 3 or 4 with no transfer (or loan) fees available, and one salary freed up.
  11. Somebody else that wasn't you. Keep up, man
  12. He did, but the joy of the transfer window is that nothing happens for most of it and then there is a mad scramble at the end as players and clubs hold out of the best deal.
  13. "Targets" are not the same as someone agreeing to come to club. Porter was a target for Cardiff as was Boyd for Birmingham.

    Peter Marinello

One of my favourite players as a kid. I remember going to Cowdenbeath for a Cup Game. My abiding memory is that it seemed the whole town had turned up in Fife that afternoon, but I also remember Marinello having a great game. Terrific to watch.
  15. I'm pretty sure Sutton was the planned replacement for Porter.
  16. Obviously didn't see the game today, so I'd be interested in the thoughts of those that were there. I have read a few comments about lack of cutting edge, final pass etc. What's the feeling on that? Is it a case of of over-elaboration in the midfield or poor execution? Or are the strikers not getting into space often enough?
  17. They are certainly entitled to a reasonable number of attempts. As this is an SFA competition, however, it is up to the SFA to define exactly how any attempts is reasonable I don't think anybody thought the postponement situations at Fir Park were anything but unacceptable. So I don't see any double standards here.
  18. Never thought about that. That would be a decent shout.
  19. Pure speculation here, but I would guess something like a better sell-on clause or, more likely, quicker payments from Derby.
  20. That barely covers Boab's pie allowance.
  21. I'm guessing you must work for the Inverurie Tourist Board.
  22. Aye, but every time 'Flow comes on here and says a deal is "not 100% complete" it means it will be soon
  23. From the Scotsman: We've got contingency plans," McGhee said. "I can pick up the phone at any time and say to someone, 'Right, Chris Porter has gone, can we have your player on loan?' "We have two or three like that who we have spoken to already, who have said that, if Chris goes, then phone us."
  24. That's what is agent is telling him, but I'm not so sure. Rosco's best offer ended up being Cardiff, and I think Porter would be smart to make that move too. Quote happy for him to stay though, as long as he doesn't sign a pre-contract with anyone.
