  1. Must've missed this last month but very surprised to see that Aaron Taylor-Sinclair is now caretaker manager at Airdrie - currently leading them (with supersub Jake Hastie) to a win over Partick Thistle. Edit: Drama! 1-1!
  2. I thought Ward had a good game and was unfortunate for the third goal. He was left totally exposed by defensive dithering in front of him and did well to make the save initially. Regarding the need for reinforcements, I wasn't too impressed by Robinson during SK's tenure but could he be a better fit with our current style of play?
  3. 7! Might get a game before his contract expires.
  4. No such luxuries on this rock, although Waitrose usually stock frozen haggis ahead of Burns night.
  5. Must be just me then. If I was getting £8,000 per week to play football in a beautiful town like Graz, I'd be happy for the rest of my life. Double or triple wages wouldn't persuade me to live in England.
  6. Also.... Max is at Derby County, so there's that. What was he thinking in taking such a big backwards step in his career? I hope it's not just down to money. I suppose we'll see first hand this weekend just how much better Ralston is.
  7. I don't think that fans get to make those decisions. Without knowing anything about Udinese or their manager, I'll assume that they have their own way of playing and that they have a specific role in mind for Miller, which may be different to what he is used to, so he'll need time to learn that. He'll also need to learn how to communicate effectively, so hopefully he's getting paid enough to afford a private Italian tutor for a couple of hours a day. He was also injured and needs to get his match fitness back, so there are a variety of factors that may be limiting his game-time.
  8. Wish I'd had the option of a semi on my stag do.
  9. I was in 'Nam too, in '97 and another tour in '99. Harrowing.
  10. An effective replacement for Harry Paton then.
  11. If Wikipaedia is to be believed, he had a trial with 'Well in 2007 but he was not signed on in time before the transfer window closed.
  12. Dykes won every header and could have scored if he'd been a bit sharper. Overall, a good performance considering he's just back from a lengthy injury. Christie, though, the BBC said he put in a MotM performance - I thought he was very average. Biereth did nothing, apart from try to get Max sent off.
  13. Callan Elliot earned another cap for NZ this evening.
