That's quite a climb down from your original statements. Suggesting that anyone not playing football for any reason other than injury is a wage thief is just ludicrous. Where would we be without fringe players who train hard and keep themselves fit so that they are ready whenever the players in their position are injured / sold /suspended? By your thinking, having a sub keeper who can be at the club for 2-3 years without ever playing (through no fault of his own) is stealing a wage.

We've enough cover at centre half now so I'd like to see Butcher in that centre mid role (when fit).

You say that but it seems like he would like to play elsewhere and has missed the whole of pre-season training. I am a fan of Casey but this is not an ideal scenario if he does sign on for us.

Well they're not training with us so they're not in our plans.

I think McGinley, like O'Donnell, will fare much better in a back five. Pretty sure he only played as a traditional left back before his injury but looked quite good in advanced areas.

Esteban 'The Goal Machine' Casagolda managed one start. Jake Taylor was the MFC hide and seek champion of 2015. Josh Morris will need to be added to that video in a couple of years for sure. Truly forgettable.
