  1. how are we playing? I hope we are not deciding to defend our lead?
  2. Are we appealing just so that he can play V Ross county, not really expecting it to be overturned ?
  3. Not having seen much this year I can only go by what I'm reading and in the small highlights clips. Maybe not the first name on the team sheet but certainly one i'd start with every week is Ainsworth. yes he can be lazy, yes he can be disinterested but at least his record shows he can score and create. From what I can gather we have players in the team every week that should not be there and are at best, invisible and the odds of them scoring or creating is pretty slim. Maybe Cadden has to step inside and be right center Mid with Ainsworth wide. We now have the wide left player but remains to be seen if he is any good or not. Haivng 2 wide players may give Cadden more room through the middle to play box to box. Now with Ainsworth Cadden and Frear you have a midfield that is a bit more mobile. The 4th one ? McHugh? Lasley ? Up front it's obviously McDonald and Moult barring suspensions and injuries. I'd try and play settled team if possible and replace like for like to cover suspensions and injuries. No clue about left back but Hammel is just a shadow of his former self. Again not sure who would be the player to fill in for McDonald. Do you go with a Target guy for Moult to feed off? Samson Tait Hall McManus ?? Ainsworth Cadden McHugh Frear Skippy Moult I think that looks a pretty decent team, if we have a left back and Frear is half decent. Good enough to stay up with room to spare....... let the stone throwing commence. could easily swich back and forth between 442 and 433 if desired
  4. Murphy in starting line up tonight for big game in the championship
  5. Just woke up to see thsi result. Having missed the game I also missed all the emotion but I can understand some of the negative ( perhaps disspointed ) comments. However, regardless of how you feel, although the outcome is still no points, this is a damn site better than 7-0 or 5-0. edit: just saw that Celtic hadn't conceded a domestic goal since Sept. So no mean feat to get 3.
  6. We should be looking to beat any team bar Celtic in any game this season. Seems every team is hot and cold and results wil just be down to who turns up in any given match. Superb 3-1 away win for the good guys.
  7. I hope we don't think the game is won and and just try to keep the score at 2-0 Looks like it could be a tight league this year so every game is not just about the points but alaso about goals for and against as well. No point in starting to think about goal difference with a few games left to go. That should be in McGhee's mind all the time. So here's hoping we can rattle in a few more goals second half.
  8. I think any any points out of this today would be a bonus but at least hoping for a decent performance
  9. I general we look nervous on the ball which is not helped by lack of running off the ball hence we just keep giving the ball away or howfing it up the park. Players basic skills and fitness look severly lacking. Managers tactics/formation doesn't help. While Samson made mistakes tonight I wouldn't blame him for the defeat but I would drop him as soon as possible before he does start to be culpable for us dropping points. Hammel and Lasley really struggling, Skippy very poor. Very depressing viewing tonight. Glad the international break is here.
  10. Goal was full of school boy errors leading up to it........the goalie flapping, Moult tackling the guy as he moves away from goal to the corner, passing instead of clearing, then the mis kick deflection. That was ahrd to watch that first half. I hope Mcghee changes it around for the second half agrer with others get moult back in the middle, Id put ainsworth on the right
  11. yes fox soccer plus They are showing it 15 minutes behind due to womans U17 woman's world cup game before it. Thought they would have re synched at half time but apprently not
  12. game's on the telly here this afternoon so "working" from home COYW!!!!!
  13. Chance to move into second place, albeit for a short time. 3-1 to Super Well
  14. So where in the states are you going, decorator?
  15. Based on no other reason than happy clappiness*............................. 4-1 to super Well COYW!! * i'd like to register that word now for future use in Scrabble
  16. Yes probably lindsay on the right wing and Quinn at inside left I do remember seeing Delaney play and I think Bobby ROberts was a half back. Delaney, was pretty flexible I think playing full back cntre half or centre forward. From Cleland I think
  17. That's what I remember. The first keeper I remember seeing was Alan Wylie from what I recall he was pretty decent. I think the team was alng the lines of below when I started going Wylie Matt Thompson Bobby McCallum Aitken Martis McCann ???? Hunter Mcbride ???? Weir
  18. he certaily ended up in goals at some point and you may be right that it was his first game. Was it a friendly against Tranmere? I also seem to recall him scoring a hat trick for us as well, early on in his career. we were down by 0-1 to Montrose at home with 15 mins to go. Joe got moved forward and scored 3 goals in a 4-1 victory for us.............. it would be great if someone could confirm that since the mind plays tricks after a while :-) My era of going to the games covered Bobby McCallum, Joe Wark and Tom Boyd. Moved over here in 1989 and so the rest I have only seen on TV or odd game over the years.
  19. I think I agree on McCrae. Excellent keeper and very young too. Also decent outfield player and made severalk appearances there for us, at full back, if I recall correctly? With someone mentioning McCloy, I recall hime playing outfield one time as well........... In the era before substtitues were allowed. I think it was against Killie, he broke his wrist or something and then appeared outfield for the rest of the game.
