  1. I hope Oxford or some team offer us a good amount for Johnson. I am sure that Dom Thomas can step up and make us foget about Johnson. The lad has ability and just needs "coached" to turn him into a really good player. A run of games in the team in addtion to some coaching form McGhee and McFadden and I think he could easily replace Johnson.
  2. looking at stats on sporting life Stranraer have 0 shots on target so what's the odds on them equalizing at about 90+2 ?
  3. I'm confused by the fact that Stranraer and Annan are in any group with the word NORTH in it.
  4. i think this would be an ideal game to start Dom Thomas. Give him the ball and tell him to take on players in and around the penalty box. Either sets up chances or perhaps win penalty. Either way, if you think a team is going to park the bus then, I'd like to see someone who can dribble past defenders as an option to long shots or countless side ways passing looking for openings.
  5. Exactly!! It was horrendous last year the number of times we had players on the park apparently unable to do that. One of the traits of a good team is eliminating needless errors. If all he can do is win the ball for us and give it to one of our players i'll consider that as hime doing his job.
  6. We can dictate play from the back Apologies if that has already been done but I don't always go back and read everything ( Can you blame me? ) If it hasn't been used then apologies for using it
  7. i don't have a problem with McGhee saying that. To be honest I don't really care what he says to the press 'cause i'm pretty sure most of the time it's not even close to what he really thinks. Just feeding scraps to the press.
  8. Hope i did'nt miss it or I'll feel really stupid but didn;t see a match thread started. So any players rulle dout from injury or suspension? Not feeling good about the game but still, great to back to sme regular good old Motherwell football instead of all this interntaionl pish
  9. Yep! Fan ownership just means they are using your money.
  10. I'm not looking forward to this game either.
  11. Let's hope we get a good offer from an english club. Wouldn't want to sell him to our competitors.
  12. I thought I read this was supposed to be a busy week on the in/out front, as in we would see some announcements but seems to have been pretty quiet for the most part.
  13. is that when they called it the Dryborough cup ?
  14. Don't know if they use it in Scotland but I like the 10 point format they use here in youth soccer tournaments. 6 points for a win 3 points for a draw 1 point per goal up to 3 1 point for a shut out 3-0 winner gets 10 points loser nil 0-0 draw both teams get 4 point 3-3 draw both teams get 6 points 1-0 winner gets 8 points 4-3 winner gets 9 points loser gets 3 points Edit: I did also like the old league cup format of 4 in a group home and away, followed by 2 leg knock out ties then semis and final at Hampden. I remember Morton beating us 3-0 at Cappielow then we beat them 3-0 at fir park. Replay at Ibrox Jumbo muir scoring the winner with a header, altohugh I think he may actually have fell over someone which helped him get his head onto it.
  15. Chris Cadden was the only one outfield player that looked like he gave a fk You can't always be good but no excuse for not always trying
  16. I remember going to the reserve games to watch Dixie Deans before he broke into the first team. One one of my vivid ( or so it seems now ) memories was Dixie scoring a peach of a goal Against St Johnstone in a 2-1 scottish cup win at Fir Park. Pulled it down with his lef t foot and leathered inot the net with his right foot from about 20 yards
  17. Dreadful stuff I got up at 6.30 am just to watch this So many times we just give the ball away
  18. I think this thread was done after the scond post
  19. Would love to hand them an embarassing defeat and see Moult score 2 or 3 COYW!!
