  1. Totally agree!! let's hope Mr McCall decides to throw caution to the wind and the players get stuck right in and go for it. Pretty much points are a write off anyway so feck it, why not just have a go. Won't be any worse than what we have seen against them this season so far and most likely a whole lot better and at worst, come away from the game with some pride in our performance if not any points.

I wonder what he thought of you nnever had any problems with him. fine lad.
  3. I was thinking the same thing about holidya fixtures. especially cramming a bunch into a short space of time. Surely make sense ( there's the problem ) to "regionalize" games over that period to allow for timely postponements, if needed, and limit travel times for supporters. North: Aberdeen, Dundee Utd, Inverness, Ross County, St Johnstone South: Celtic, Partick, St Mirren, Motherwell, Kilmarnock Hearts and Hibs could fit in there somewhere.
  4. Smart arse! I've a couple years to go yet..feelin great at 58 :-)
  5. LOL as you can see, fromn the number of plates, there were others who had not quite made it to the table yet......... It was pretty early on a Saturday morning. Now am starvin..............I may have to go do that again...........especially since it's my birthday tomorrow. Could be a fine day !
  6. I can have a right good fry up here still. Make the square sausage myself from a recipe on "rampant scotland" it's no bad. Make tattie scones with lefot over mash tatties. I can buy black pudding and irish bacon from a middle eatern shop a few miles away. I even make rolls from scratch. there pretty good but can't make them to be like back home. heres pictures of me and the boy ready to scoff breakfast the day we gubbed Celtic at lunchtime kick off last season. i've tried to attach pics
  7. So have you been researching 6 league wins in a row??
  8. Cheers Beezer ! So we have won 5 in a row before but still somewhat unfamiliar territory for us. Would be great to see them beat St Johnstone AND Caley. 5 or 6 wins in a row is some going for any Motherwell team, not just this season's squad!! COYW
  9. Hola Smiddy - you making a guest appearance here? Seems like you are addicted to face book now ? finished work Dec 20th start back Thursday second January, so the only work for now is the list Margaret has left me. I have spotted the sign a few times now.
  10. Agree with the reasoning above but on the flip we side we have now won 4 league games on the trot. Have we ever won 5 or 6 league games in a row? Thinking of both this game and the inverness game coming up.
  11. Poor MJC! Slated if he predicts a defeat ( as normal ) and labeled as jinx if he predicts a win
  12. We already have 3 keepers, right? Maybe Dundee would consider a swap, plus 2 gob stoppers and a dead frog??
  13. My mistake, you are correct. Not sure why I said 3rd. We are definately still in the hunt for second place and I fully expect us to remain in the hunt.
  14. I still have not given up on 3rd! We have been playin like crap and are only a point or so behind the 3 who have been having wonderous seasons. They get worse we get better 3rd is still up for grabs.
  15. ......and in addition there are 5 games scheduled in a 2 week period over the christmas and new year holidays. That's a lot of money to be shelling out on football on top of all the other demands for your money this time of year!
  16. Yes, we know, Gilmour but how's the weather in Strathaven ?
  17. I was going to start a new thread but i think my question fits well in this topic. In their infinite wisdom the governing body has scheduled 5 rounds of fixtures over a 2 week holiday period Dec 21st to Jan 5th. Probably 'cause they know that every has gobs of money to spare buyibngpresents and goig to 5 games in 2 weeks! Anyway, my question is how does everyone see the top 6 pannign out by January the 7th ( assuming all the games get played ) I'll step up first to be laughed at Celtic Dundee Utd Motherwell Aberdeen Inverness St Johnstone Celtic well in front, Utd a few points ahead of us and then not much separating 3 thru 6 Ok I have to stop typing now as it's time top put my straight jacked back on !! EDIT: Hope Santa gets me some typing lessons for Christmas!
  18. Sorry, I don't get the " dead" season and nothing to play for.
  19. Still hard to take even this far away. I was readin Wee Yin's posts and I am finding it hard to think of a worse defeat and it sounds like it's certainly a contender for worst ever performance. definately dreading Friday night. I'm off this coming Friday so if it's on the TV here no doubt i'll still have the game on ....................for as long as I can stand it.
  20. No doubt about it, we are pretty bad just now despite our lofty position in the league. The season is only just over a third of the way done so who knows where we will end up in the league. Over the past few "successful" years on here, there have been many time where apparently we have been on a downward spiral only to end up in a very good position. However, that may be more difficult to achieve this season comapred to the last few but I will reserve judgement till much later in the season. Having said that, I think McCall has done enough to warrant some slack, in that, if this is ends up a bad season he should have a shot at turning it around next season. To be honest I am not even sure what the defenition of a bad season is. No european spot? not in top 6? lack of cup runs? crap viewing ? financial loss? perhaps one of those or some combination. I think if we have a manager who can consistently keep us in the top 6 then we are doing well. I think McCall will have this team finish in the top 6 and hopefully next season get us back in the top 3.
  21. i thought all the parks had to have under soil heating?
