and if i recall correctly i think Willlie Watson was right back at that time too and he wasn't exactly Mr Nice guy either!!!!

Speaking of impact.............I remember when Roger Hynd became manager. Peter Miller played like Beckenbaur for about half a dozen games............then fell back into the "kick his own granny" style of play. What a half back line in those days Miller McVie McLaren Not sure how long they would last nowadays?? They didn't mess around!!

I think he wil be a great signing for us. Teams can set up to combat players with certain styles eg Humphrey's speed. passing the bal on the ground, high balls in the centre etc but with players like Ojamma who have the natural ability to beat players it is very hard to combat other than kickin lumps out of him. Additionally it gives us another weapon and teams can only set up to combat so much. Even with Humphrey playing under par he was still occupying an extra defender so now are teams also going to deploy another extrfa defender to combat Ojamma as well? We may have a small squad but I think we have enough attacking threats now to make it a real problem for teams to snuff us out. C'Mon Ye Well!!

Hatrick Ojamaa Has a nice ring to it !!

Yep! I was just thinking that myself. Hopefully not.

WELL DONE JAMIE MURPHY!!!!! Nice to see that not everyone runs off at the first chance of more money. He has a lot of talent but going through a tough patch just now. I am sure he will come good again. and if that happens and then he leaves us I wil lbe more than happy for him. I hope the crowd gets behind him Saturday and shows our appreciation for him remaining at the club. We areleady threadbare squad and I think it is GREAT that he is staying, even it turnsout to be just till the end of the season. GAUN YERSEL JAMIE !!!!

Ithink he will come good again for us.
-
Aberdeen might be bale to offer him more money but we can offer him european football *** able
-
when we sell him let's male sure it is to an english or foreign team.
-
Nice one eddie but all the young uns are going........WHAT????
-
Well it sounds like the players are doin their bit to turn things around so lets hope ALL the fans can get behind them for the rest of the season. Let's be honest how many people were expecting us to be 6 points clear in third place at this point in the season??? What a great achievement in itself! I just wish we could get more supporters to turn out. I know there are many reasons but hopefully some of the regulars can talk some of our armchair fans into coming back to a few home games for the run in to the end of the season. Would be great to qualify for europe as 3rd palce team!

Nice to see us 6 points clear and controlling our own fate. 9 games till the split. I am hoping we can get there with a 10 point cushion. I don't know what the real numbers are but my perception is that other than rangers and celtic the max points any team in the top half will get after the split is 9 points. We will need to continue to get results but it seems "the sheriff" has injected some new life into the team and the last 2 games have hopefully got the players fired up again. So heres hoping we have a good run in to the split. Was going to say the next big game is V Hearts at Fir Park but the good thing ( I think it's good? ) is that every next game is the big game since we need all the points we can get.
-
yep have to take a chance and get him signed up for longer. As was said, if you wait to confirm his talent then it's too late cause we won't have enough money to compete with all the other clubs who would then like to sign him. Surely we can get him signed up with some agreement to allow him to move on if an english or foreign club comes in for him. Certainly don't want him to move to another Scottish club,
-
@foghorn.................."is that you Stevie"?
-
We should be so pissed off about this Higdon crap that we should be really fired up and go out there and run all over St Johnstone.
-
This whole process is utter shite. what was it meant to address? Don't we have a fourth official who can chime in during the game if they see anythin? If noe of the 4 of them see anythin then leave it at that. BUT if broadfoot is correct and all clubs agreed then worst case we have to live with this crap till next AGM when all the clubs can agree to GITF. or bestd case all the clubs get together and call a meeting to end this shite now cause it is certainly not helping the game any.
-
rememeber how much money we DON'T have. If higdon was taking all his chances he would not be playing with us. FFS look at the howler Torres had last month or so. Most striked miss more than they score. I don't get to see the games but from the number he has scored for us I think he is doing just fine.

Interesting to read Henry's thoughts on a similar topic to this "When I arrived in front of our own fans, I couldn't understand the abuse the team were getting from one of them. "I wanted to tell the fan in question that we need their support not abuse." http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer/12/01/17/SOCCER_Arsenal_Henry.html&BID=165

some great responses. Well done lads!

Fairly simple...........We are called supporters so lets SUPPORT. it's pretty easy to support when things are going well but guess what........ when things are not going well then that support is needed even more!! As some people have mentioned everyone has the right to voice their opinion but do they really think that hurling abuse ( wrranted or not ) at players is going to help???? So I think we are not so much stiffling free spech as much as we are making suggestions on how to better support the team when they need that extra bit of support. I can bet you all of the players know when they have been crap. All they can do is keep working at it day by day until their performance improves. So let's give them some encouragment through the tough times instead of behavingt like spoiled brats cause we are not winning games. What does it say about our performance as supporters??? C'mon the well.............. we will stil finish 3rd!!!
-
we will finish 3rd.
-
This is a good chance to extend the gap between us and the 5 teams right below us. I don't see any of those 5 teams picking up 3 points this coming week so if we can get a victory that gives us a wee bit more breathing space. Inverness have been a wee bit short on luck this season and I think if we can get a couple of goals in the first half their heads will go down.
-
THIRD is where we will be.
-
Looks Like mr McCall is talking a wee bit more positive about this one, which is nice to see.

what's the odds of Rangers loosing 3 in a row?? when was the last time that Rangers lost 3 league games in a row??
