If he can come back on same terms we had him then why not take him? we are stronger with him than without him.
we have 16 league games left amd assumimg top six finish he can play 14. Although misseS out on any cup games.
regardless of what we say I’m pretty sure JBA will take him back in a heartbeat and pretty much said so.
Fizoxy saying the same thing. I thought that was just with respect to loans, didn’t realize it applied regardless of Loan or transfer. Is it applicable world wide or just in Scotland?
Based on what we’ve seen so far I think JBA’s next step will be better than SPFL.
maybe he’s the new Alex Ferguson, take Motherwell to Scottish and European glory then off to the EPL. 😃
Am I recalling correctly that Aberdeen went into Europe as SC winners and were straight into play off game for Europa cup? Loosing that had them Drop to conference league? So pretty much guaranteed “group stage” games as cup winner?
Minimal contact from a trip can make you go down but minimal contact body to body is where some players embellish it and go down but again it’s a physical sport amd body to body contact is not necessarily a foul even if there is much stronger contact.
He’s 36 and probably looking for way more than we can pay him. He’s on 7K a week and turned down offers of around 20K a week from Milwall and Middlesbrough. Plus we Would have to pay a transfer fee to get him from a club who really don’t want to sell him. So I not sure why he would be linked to Motherwell. .
That’s the most I’ve ever enjoyed one of those pre match interviews. JBA comes across as a genuine character and seems to be enjoying his time here. He handles all the questions very well and doesn’t respond with all the worn out old football manager cliches and phrases.
To be fair, with Nancy in charge they told us he could stay. Then O’Neil came back and I’m assuming he said bring him back and let’s decide after the 14th. If O’Neil hadn’t came back till after 14th Welsh would have been here now.
