  1. Can the sanctimonious posts be added to a thread of their own on fan behaviours and leave discussion to team matters on a match thread? Arriving when they did meant they were located to the front of the stand which became problematic (especially for our disabled supporters sat at ground level) with your claims inextricably linked although not my recollection of events. Not condoning abusing stewards, spilling on the track was no more than high jinks - a day on the ale and or beak isn’t uncommon in football circles so they’ll resent being told by the holier than thou how they should behave when supporting their team so answer in kind. A lot of that, to their credit is self policed and whilst they may be uncomfortable bedfellows both club and non retired fellows work together. You wouldn’t have to dig to far to get that info. Paying for damage and turning a blind eye is an untruth.
  2. Hadn’t passed Pitlochry when you were dropped off!
  3. Slattery for me. Game passed Tierney by in the second half and easily nullified. Felt it naive in making the changes early last week, he could’ve been off on the hour this week.
  4. Always an advocate of ‘you shouldn’t change a winning team’ but, football has evolved in most parts.
  5. The context was there’s a gulf and it’s massive wether they like it or not between top flight & first division - I’ll be surprised the same players were given the freedom of Fir Park afforded the other evening. By your own admission, this continuity of team selection went out the window after the Aberdeen performance. Whilst not his biggest fan, Mugabi can feel hard done by being dropped? Can also be argued continuity is the polar opposite of man management of the squad.
  6. To set up similarly and expect same shows the naivety that saw us drop 3 points last week. Professional performance against a poor Inverness Caley team will have little bearing on Saturday’s match.
  7. I’d have extended Grimshaw’s stay too for you to vent your spleen.
  8. I’d doubt he will for reasons mentioned previously. Some just being overly optimistic on numbers being added methinks.
  9. Of course Hammell would want him. Lots of variables, him wanting to join isn’t/wasn’t one. Not sure I agree with strange on yesterday - he’s added to attacking options and strengthened the left back position, by his own admission, part of the pitch at interview. Squad numbers don’t match up to many more additions especially if player pathway is genuine and not lip service. Rights and wrongs of that are a different debate, think you’ve answered part for yourself. Let’s see what today brings…
  10. Maybe works in your head, but, now how it actually does in this case.
  11. Fair enough, I thought it was Shields who hit the bar, now checked differently. A shot for a penalty isn’t in mine, hence, I asked if criteria had changed.
  12. I’m not sure I share that statistic of 3 assists for Spittal? Has the criteria changed? He’s made 2 forward passes of note, Saturday’s assist was sublime in fairness (just before his fanboys hit the outrage button)
  13. It’s definitely not the latter.
  14. Good summation. The togetherness was there for all to see. Can add the rest of the squad having very good games with Sol growing into the game after losing his footing. Substitutions on point and each having impact. We’ll get stronger with additions.
  15. Not putting each post under scrutiny but, I’m not reading anything like that
  16. Merely an observation. Jobs for the boys thinking isn’t necessarily a hiding to nothing.
  17. I don’t see it as a bit strong & can understand the sentiment. I’ll wager it won’t be a minority thinking Premier league clubs who are going to be in the dogfight shouldn't be appointing boys club managers… As for the recruitment team? Should’ve been emptied a week past Friday also. Don’t think anybody’s mentioning not getting behind him, whoever it may be.
  18. Therein lies part of the problem. Pedigree.
  19. Both different types of player so hardly comparable for me. Maguire hasn’t the discipline & is rash for starters. Adding experience there to aid their development was to be welcomed - we got Blair Spittal. Further compounds the problems.
  20. Couldn’t disagree more. Huge change in the way we play? Think some are confusing this with a rise in match sharpness. I note the same posters who were accepting of a few additions to an existing squad are now favouring an overhaul which in reality isn’t happening regardless of who is appointed - left yesterday with the feeling we chased better players out the club including O’Hara.
  21. And another. Tapping into a subject I suspect you know little of. You do get the idea of ‘protest’? Had little bearing on the team getting beat as you put it, they certainly weren’t building any momentum at anyrate. Not an endorsement, I do though understand the thinking. Think some of the holier than thou in our support should have more things to worry about.
  22. If that’s improvement, trouble is just around the corner. Today should put an end to any notion of Hammell moving office. It’s folly.
  23. If we’re discussing our signings this early, heralded as adding to our attacking options Spittal wouldn’t feature high for a few I’d suggest on account he’s yet to make a forward pass since he arrived.
