Likely lower away support than last time up there which was, erm... not very many.

It's his old fella who's the head chef I'm sure?
-
Nae much chance of that, given the 'jobs for the boys' rationale is alive and well at ours
-
Could well be in for one of our own soon if we do...

That's up there with the Martin Woods is in talks 'excloosiv' from Rickoza t'other week...

The only fear I'd have for Ross County is the fact they may well buy their way out of trouble at the foot of the league when we would be reluctant to do so... Roy MacGregor's backing at County is pivotal to success for some of his concerns in the region not even taking his renewable energy enterprises into consideration. Returning to the thread, supported the society from the offset, wasn't impressed at some recent issues so interest is on the wane to the point of not renewing membership for now. I await with interest to see how the new funding will be achieved given the last time they took a decision affecting their very existence an gem was called to change the rules.

This is where my concern is - are we going to start creating chances and finishing them now they are likely to return? Nothing they showed in pre-season or the fated European ties would suggest this. Given our run of fixtures this month, failing to pick up a result here could well see us cut adrift all too soon.

Not wanting to piss on your parade, would be interested to hear how it appeared on the club accounts, information relayed from a member of the Blades board of directors... It's even worse, we got no where near that. Not even half! Some valid points made of late on this thread, decent debate - hope it keeps up.
-
The club decided there was more funding available in turning the boxes over to classroom facilities to aid community initiatives - fair enough given they herald being community based... To not consult those who had paid in advance for the facility on match days leaving them to pick up on second hand information - sources at the club even denied it was planned. No options given, nothing offered in return until a call stating "Stevie Kirk will call you later" was taken.
-
5 mins walk? What you got on your feet to manage that? Creativity and some future thought has to be welcomed and for the sum mentioned - all points towards a win win situation for the club. I've seen at first hand what facilities others have against cost outlays and we'd move way and above some. Yes, it's only artist impressions... Still, be interesting how the council approach the plans given the white elephant facility they helped create just up the road.

No pushovers? Who have they played like? First division heroes are having a purple patch, while admittedly we're not. I'd wager we'll still be straining our necks looking down at them from above come the end of the season.

Get your money on Kilmarnock, McManus has been vocal on his dislike of the surface and I gather others are none too keen
-
He does and tends to view the action away from others, feedback will be available from both mentioned and another set of eyes and ears available in Scott Leitch. Be surprised if they didn't confer.

Bingo! Doesn't stop many one here 'cause they have a season book/pay at the gate surmising they know better. The bulk of team formations posted on pre & post match threads are laughable in the extreme.

Creepy... Facebook only exists for Jeremy Kyle to host a TV show. FACT.

Murder McLeod was it not?

If Sutton doesn't lose the concrete from his boots that's slowing him down, see no reason to drop Erwin.

You win 1 nil every week, you win the league - simple.

He IS Steven Hammell

Deary me, your use of analogy is absolute cod-shit. I suppose it makes a change from you getting skelfs sitting on the fence as with most subjects. 'It doesn't matter what club he played for in the past its what he did whilst there and more importantly what he does at Fir Park' another quip that joins the many others used on occasion on this board. Yes, I mentioned the obscurity of non-league football, but, failing to see how Hull City when purchasing the Scottish International full-back, tried and tested at the top level available to him can be used to describe our signing and his use in an another role with an admittedly limited contribution so far. I've not seen evidence of his player of the year status/figment of imagination and when asked, he's split the opinion of those who have seen him. But, hey, we'll shoehorn him into playing off a lone striker... As I am with Faddy's debut, I'm well aware the club could not allow sentiment to cloud its judgement. As you said both the club and Faddy himself decided the time was right for him to move on - a move, all be it reluctantly, I supported. And if you READ my original reply and not just LOOKED at the words you would have seen I never advocated at any point in having him offered a new deal.

Think you've taken my point out of context. It was nothing to do with not giving the boy Law a chance & I certainly never mentioned having someone on the wage bill for their influence... And another... Firstly, where am I being unfair on the lad? Agreed, if our manager knows his father, it's immaterial. Doesn't hide the fact he played right back for a non league outfit and you have him as a gain in the replacement of our James. Easily impressed? I've been fortunate enough to have seen the player in around 6 game situations & training drills and yet to see that he looks fit enough to be able to play a full 90 minutes week in week out. Seen characteristics to his game that may well be a family trait, so in hope more than expectation, feel we may have ourselves a gem that has arrived relatively low risk. Secondly, our James, we don't really know of his influence? Players and other members of the staff must all be peddling similar untruths then? As others also mentioned, McFaddens' contribution is clearly discounted by some and I believe we've already seen his contribution last season was severely underrated. Nobody was attempting to live in the past, nor were they advocating retaining him for influence alone. Sad, but, true.
-
Incredulous! Whilst nobody more than 'the man' himself will be disappointed in his form of last year, I wouldn't discount the influence he had on those around him at other times wether just giving his team mates a raised belief in themselves or improving those learning the trade. Failing to see where a plucked from the obscurity of his right back berth at his fathers' (and close friend of our managers') non-league outfit will likely be a gain in losing our James. Utter, utter folly.

Aye, wearing our club colours on a football pitch all at the one time!
-
So have we such a thin squad or strength (ish) in depth? I'd suggest the former. As for experience at the back? Aye? What we need is some pace given at least two are about ready for pasture!
