Alexander is dropping his players in it before a ball is even kicked,his tactics and choice of formation are doing us no favours.

I really couldn't believe it when I seen he was going 433 again today,alexander seems the type that he's not learning from previous games,to be doing the same every week is just madness.

Two nil up then one nil up in our last two home games and then we concede eight and only scrape a draw,fucking embarrassing stuff.

I can't for the life of me think why any manager thinks is a good idea to have his team give up possession like we do,it's not like we sit off the opposition then have the players to do damage when we get it,as for letting crosses come into the box,I said it earlier in the thread,alexander was a full back and lucketti a centre half and they really think it's a good idea to just let crosses come in without stopping them.we are rank rotten and unless alexander is willing to change things big time then we will continue to fall down the table and find ourselves in trouble.

Agreed,the buck stop with the manager,he's the one using a formation that the majority of the team don't look comfortable in,full backs are exposed,clearly told not to stop crosses,constantly over run in midfield and a front three that is disjointed,alexander is watching this and doing fuck all about it.

Madden started it with the shocking penalty decision but the retake is all on the linesman,he has one job to do in that situation to make sure the keeper stays on his line,which isn't hard and he failed miserably.i bet we could go the rest of the season and not see another retaking penalty,it was a fucking joke of a decision.

Good point about pinning there fullbacks back,we really have to find a way to make that happen.if we allow tavernier and barisic to just attack at will at constantly put balls into our box it will be a long 90 minutes.

Agreed,I really don't get the way we're trying to play,we let teams dominate the ball but yet in turn there's no urgency to press the ball,stop crosses coming in and shots from distance,it's like we're happy to just wait for the opposition to make a mess of it to get possession of the ball.i could get sitting off teams to a point if we broke quickly and had players that hurt the opposition when we had the ball but we have guys like grimshaw who's only thought is to slow it down and pass it backwards most of the time.

The recent celtic game at home should be fresh in alexander's mind,we didn't compete in midfield and the ball never stuck up front,two things we will need to happen in this game.we either need to bring in another centre half and make us harder to score against or an extra midfielder to try and make us more competitive in the middle of the park,it'll absolute madness if we stick with 433 for this.

Spot on,it was never a penalty to start with,sondre stood his ground and the st mirren player ran into him doing a dying swan routine,it was pathetic that madden fell for that.as for the retaking penalty,how many times do goalies get pulled up for being slightly off the line,hardly ever,even at the recent euros there was keepers that got away with it that were further off there line than kelly was.itll be interesting next time there's a saved penalty where that clown of a linesman is involved to see what he does.

I would rather he wasn't involved at all either grizzly but if we're going to use him I would rather it was from the bench.the forward line much like the midfield are a complete conundrum right now.

Midfield is dire,even in games against dundee and county we were second best,there's no pace or composure in there,everything is all rushed with either possession constantly giving away or the ball is passed back the way.we have far to many midfielders of the same level that offer very little,i quite like the look of slattery at times but feel we won't see more of him until he's got better players beside him.

Woolery might be a decent enough option off the bench,in games like tonight where it's stretched and come on against a tired full back but as a starter right now it just isn't happening,surely he can't start at the weekend.

It all depends on the officials,9 times out of 10 that wouldn't have been brought back for a retake,it's just our fucking luck it went against us tonight.

I agree with that,if brophy had put it wide then it would have been seen as a decent decision by kelly to come out.his team mates in front of him put him in an impossible position,it was a simple ball played forward into space,mcginley was daydreaming and grimshaw had no awareness as he just let his man run off him.

We showed a bit of composure at the start of the second half and were in total control,mugabis cunt of a pass just before there first goal was embarrassing but we should have defended it better,grimshaw let his man run off him and did kelly need to be that far out.the penalty was a farce,there player ran into ours as for the retake,aye it's the rules but how often does it get enforced,it'll be interesting the next game madden is involved in that there's a similar incident.we were shite for the most part but it's definitely two points chucked away.
