  1. St John’s legendary scoring feat was a Scottish professional record for a few years. He was quick to prove it was no fluke either as he also scored a hat-trick on his debut for Liverpool against arch rivals Everton. The Scots seem to love scoring fast hat-tricks... Queen of the South player Tommy Bryce took all of 1 minute 46 seconds to slot three past Arbroath in 1993. He went on to score a fourth in their 6-0 win. According to Guinness The fastest time to score three goals is 90 seconds and was achieved by Tommy Ross for Ross County against Nairn County at Dingwall Ross-shire, Scotland on 28 November 1964.
  2. The thought of Faddy signing for either of the Old Firm fills me with dread. I know it’s just a job, however, I would be happier if he went abroad or down south.
  3. This mock up is based on the recent Man Utd Nike away template and it reminds me of our 1989 Matchwinner top which is still one of my favourite Well shirts. I don’t think we have had a button collar home shirt since our 1998-2000 Xara top. I wouldn’t like to bet against us getting one next season (Macron templates permitting).
  4. I am hopeful that we can sneak a draw, however, we will need to be at our very best to achieve it. 1-1
  5. Shame as it's a much needed boost for the club.
  6. It would be interesting to see what the Polish media’s reaction was to Lech Poznan’s first leg defeat. I would imagine it was a pretty big shock.
  7. Delboy who posts on here lives next door to them in Clarkston, Glasgow, I’ll ask him to enquire about his finances. Lol
  8. At age 67 he would be classed as one of the more mature managers, however, if you are still mentally fit I see no reason why you can't still manage a team in the top flight.
  9. Does McCall drive a DeLorean? If so, I hear that Tommy Coyne, Peter Marinello and Ian St.John are all looking for a club. We are going to walk this league.
  10. In tears... What I find odd is that I have seen Macron tops with beautifully stitched badges (the Italian teams wouldn't settle for less) so I don't understand what has happened to ours.
  11. Without doubt there is still a market for those who prefer to buy decent 'accurate' retro shirts rather than the latest design. I have worked with the club before to produce a retro top, and due to my obsessive nature, I tried to make sure that the shirt was as accurate as possible. It was manufactured by Bukta and was a copy of our 1976-78 Admiral white away top. The main difference between the copy and the original was the feel of the fabric. Whilst both the original and the copy were 100% polyester, the Admiral shirt was more of an Airtex material which was very uncomfortable to wear. The collar on the copy was also a little more conservative than the original (not my decision as I would have happily kept it the same size). The amber was also darker to bring it into line with our recent shade. So hopefully the club will continue to delve into our back catalogue of home and away kits to give us a viable alternative to any new release. Original Admiral replica Bukta retro version
  12. Very odd, has the badge been classically stitched on or is it more of a printed patch?
  13. I have already posted the new Boca Juniors white away top in the new kits section, however, it’s worth posting here as well. I think the combination of the traditional Boca bold hoop works very well when converted to C&A. When it comes to producing a simple hoop design, Boca are king.
  14. I haven't had an opportunity to examine the kit up close yet, however, how we apply the badge on our kit has been a bugbear of mine for years.
  15. I reckon McCall expected us still to be in Europe and was hoping to use those games as part of our league build up. Unfortunately we fucked it up and he is probably searching for sides to play as I type.
  16. Going by this years showing there is no guarantee that we will even qualify.
  17. He certainly does Andy, however, I am sure that McCall would admit that the defeats at the hands of Rovers and Stjarnan where a financial blow to Motherwell. This is something that a club like ours really need to address as it is becoming a bit of a habit losing cup matches to teams that we really should be beating.
  18. I am sure it will be painful viewing.
