  1. Aye Aberdeen last year, I was a tad late in arriving, couldn't get into the East Stand with my season ticket and was punted into the Cooper. Don't think the crowd will be anything like that on Saturday though!
  2. Looking out for the Cardiff results every week and its great to see Roscoe score more often than not. I've never doubted Mccormack's ability and really hope he can propel Cardiff and Scotland to success. Out of interest, whats your thoughts on McNaughton? Anytime I've seen him in recent years he has really impressed but he doesn't get much of a look in with Scotland. To be honest, there isn't much talent floating about in Scotland and the moment, with the possible exception of Driver & Robertson.
  3. Can't get my head round the lack of respect for Stephen Hughes. He struggled with a few knocks earlier in the season but I still think he is a genuine class act. He is the only player in the squad I'd be gutted to lose. In terms of palyers coming in I think we'll need another Keeper, an experienced centre half, left midfielder and a striker. Thats assuming we keep most of the existing squad.
  4. Nothing to be gutted about. Stag Do at the National a few years back remains one of my best days out ever. Mind you, the only horses I seen that day had Police on them.
  5. Fine day! Maybe we can look forward to beating the Old Firm once in a while again!
  6. Well done Motherwell FC and well done to those in Trusts etc who have influenced Boyle's thinking on the Cooper front. We've got the Cooper Back
  7. All good for my flexi time. I was ready ready to juke at 4pm.
  8. Dont see why not mate, I used to do it on a regular basis a few years back when I worked until 3ish. It will take a fair drop in price to entice a crowd greater than 5000 on Saturday!
  9. Hughes showed his class; Hammell had a good game. Hughes for MOTM.
  10. I've kinda lost interest. Whether its us or Hibs, we have next to no chance of qualifying for Europe after the weekends results. I'd be content finishing top of the bottom half and blooding some youngsters between now and the end of the season.
  11. Regardless of the decisions that inevitably went against us, we were an absolute shambles at the back early doors. Despite some nice spells of possession football and a belter of a finish from Sutton, we were pretty disappointing. With the inclusion of McGarry in particular, I'd question McGhee's lineup for what was a crunch game.

Reading that, I think we could have the Hoop back. I thought my days of buying new 'Well tops were coming to an end but I am pretty excited to see if these strips live up to the hype!
  13. To be honest, we always boo Boyd and he always scores so I dont reckon we should give him any attention. I'm in 2 minds about travelling throught to Ibrox due to funds, sad that we might have a poor turnout for what is a massive game for us.
  14. Argument seems to have strayed towards a bashing for those who don't worship McGhee on a daily basis. I happen to think McGhee has done an excellent job for us but he is far from flawless and I don't agree with the sentiments of his extremely well written article. The standard of SPL football is dire at present.
  15. While I don't have much time for Peat and McGhee's article is well structured and intuitive, I don't quite agree with him. Shooting ability in the SPL is relatively inept. How many decent shots from outside the box from midfielders and fullbacks these days? Focusing on Motherwell, I'm a big fans of guy like Hughes and Lasley but the lack of shots getting fired in from the edge of the box is infuriating. Shooting practise shouldn't just be for the strikers.
  16. As well as a superior goal difference, Hibs go into each game knowing our results. Think we needed the 3 points today.
  17. Fear a tense affair but I'm hoping McGhee sends the players out with the intention of blowing Aberdeen away in the 1st half hour.
  18. I'd be over the moon if we get him back. Can't see it though. As for Steve Lovell. Kinda mixed views about that one...
  19. Natural goalscorer. Hope to see much more of him in the coming weeks.
  20. Well done to the players mentioned but the fact Clarky is no near the current Scotland team underlines our predicament.
  21. Sounds like an excellent idea.
  22. A close call indeed. Thank fuck for Owen Coyle.
  23. Digressing slightly but I've just read the article on the BBC. How deluded are Aberdeen fans? Sitting 4th in the league and they think they have the right to request the immediate removal of Calderwood & Co. Ideas well above their station.
  24. There is no doubt in my mind McGhee would go up there. Long way off yet though.
