  1. I interpreted it the same way and I'm quite happy to see Boyle go down that route.
  2. Ha, never too early. It amazes me though that a significant element of our support would welcome back a man who has treated our club with so much disrespect. In my eyes, this is far worse than the Pearo saga who was a naive boy influenced by a shark of an agent. The fans weren't so forgiving back then.
  3. Please come back Mark. I know you have aspirations to move to a bigger and better team. And quite rightly so as you are the best thing since sliced bread. Unfortunately however, the timing has not been right on this occassion. So come back to Fir Park and produce the flowing football that you are capable of, and then maybe, just maybe, you can get your dream move to Parkhead one day. All is forgiven.
  4. Today I started to rule out the likes of McCart as I doubt we could afford to pay compensation for anyone in a job. I'm interested to see if Jim Gannon applies.
  5. I canny believe McGhee was on £200k and Leitch £100k per annum. No wonder we couldn't afford any new players.
  6. If he doesn't feel he has enough experience after a few years as Assistant Manager then I'd say he doesn't have much faith in his ability. Like yourself though, I doubt the story is 100% accurate.
  7. Sounds like the saga is almost over. Cheers for 5 months of tremendous fitba that ultimately led to a fine trip in Nancy ya arrogant whore. Onwards and upwards for the 'Well.
  8. To be honest, I doubt he would be interested either. Think he has enough of SPL football for the time being.
  9. Out of all the names mentioned within reason, Jimmy Calderwood looks like the 'safest' bet.
  10. So Leitch isn't interested, that should put an end to all the 'Motherwell man' pish. Bullet dodged imo.
  11. Two years down the line and he'll still not have came up with an adequate replacement.
  12. If we could ensure that no SPL team goes bust, I'd love a season of no live coverage. It would be tremendous if we could all kicking off at 3pm on a Saturday and have a decent highlights package. I remember I used to get excited when the cameras were at Fir Park, knowing that we would be the main game on Sportscene that night.
  13. Its all over. Good riddance to shite coverage.
  14. Is Fraser a certainty with McGhee leaving?
  15. Reading between the lines I subscribe to the train of thought that McGhee is waiting to see exactly what happens with the Mowbray saga. If that is the case, I wouldn't be too happy if I were an Aberdeen fan. Despite the sentimental attachment he discussed at the weekend, he doesn't seem overly enthusiastic about heading up there.
  16. I'd be very disappointed in Boyle if he hasn't already sounded out a few options. Can't believe some folk are hanging on to the possibility of McGhee making a U-turn. Get him tae fuck! As for McCall, please no!
  17. I've mentioned to a few folk this weekend that I've had a feeling in my water that he would be in the running.
  18. If Nijholt fancies it, I imagine he'd be looking to team up with the likes of McCart or Boyd.
  19. This thread is doing an excellent PR job for Nijholt. Think I've been swayed.
  20. Sounds like Willie Miller is trying to back Motherwell into a corner. Miller is an arrogant arse like the majority of the Sheep. McGhee should fit in well up there.
  21. 22nd of June springs to mind. Whoever comes in it isn't going to be easy trying to organise pre-season, assess the squad, approach new players and negotiate competitive European football.
  22. If a new appointment isn't made in the next few days then I'd play the Under 19s in the European tie.
  23. Nail hit on the head. Superb post.
  24. Leitch has no sentimental ies with us. He was ready to head to Tynecastle last summer. If we are going to go with someone inexperienced, then McCart gets my vote over Leitch.
