  1. Really tough choice this year as a number of players have enjoyed excellent spellss of various times of the season but nobody has really maintained an excellent season throughout. Smith is an interesting choice, probably our most consistent performer but didn't cover himself in glory at home to Nancy. Barring that though, he has been a safe pair of hands and gets my vote. While he will always struggle with crosses, it's going to be tough to replace him. Good servant to the club.
  2. Outwith the Scottish Cup final, 6-1 demolition of Hearts at Fir Park and humping Hibs at Easter Road in McGhee's early days are two of the finest performances. So many dreadful performances over the years, with Scottish Cup defeats at home to inferior opposition particularly hard to take. Two losses to St Johnstone spring to mind, think both were quarter final matches under Davies and Malpas respectively. 6-5 defeat starring Goram, Spencer, Goodman & Co to an Aberdeen team that had barely scored a goal or picked up a point remains the most bizarre game.
  3. From the glimpses I've seen of him over the last year or two, this boy could be a fine acquisiton: http://www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,1...5354571,00.html
  4. Hibs would be a far better prospect than Aberden. Fantastic academy funded by Brown, O'Connor, Whittaker & Co. The best crop of youngsters in the country and a sound financial position which will be boosted by the likely sale of Fletcher. If Hibs appoint the right man, I reckon they will be a decent shout for top 3 next season given that the rest of the league will be in Europe.
  5. I think Sturrock is a very good manager but I thought he may be wanting to call it a day due to his health.
  6. Sweden would be a fine trip but we would get pumped given that they will be well into their season.
  7. Afraid so, particularly if the potential managerial upheavel materialises.
  8. No quotes, the BBC are just speculating on the old pals act. If Celtic have any sense of ambition, McGhee will be about 4th choice at best.
  9. So according to Keevins, McGhee has a clause in his contract to speak to the 'tic.
  10. I'd take Gary Mac. Maybe not really done the business as a manager so far but he would have the club, players and fans at heart.
  11. If there is going to be a change in management the last thing we need is this diddy European place.
  12. I can see McGhee holding out for the Celtic job then missing out on that and the Aberdeen post. Intriguing few days ahead.
  13. I'll throw in the towel if thats the case!
  14. Hammy that midfield would get raped.
  15. If offered the job, he'll take it. Nae danger.
  16. I wasn't there today but if McGhee failed to acknowledge the folk that have been showing up all season, then that is a very poor show indeed. As much as I don't like the guy, it never crossed my mind that he wouldn't be out to applaud the fans today. What airport is heading for this summer? Fud.
  17. Haven't seen that quote of McGhee's but if he was planning to pinch a player from whoever got relegated today, I guess he will be rather disappointed that Falkirk stayed up. Don't really rate many ICT players but the likes of Arfield, McCann or Higdon would have been welcome at FP.
  18. Rangers opener at Ibrox a few months back done my nut in.
  19. Aye, don't really see the point in reducing prices to £15. Could offer folk a fiver to come and they would still mull it over.
  20. Nice one Mitch ya jammy get.
  21. Best 'Well related news I've heard for a while.
  22. Kiegan Parker on trial at Killie. They could have a very decent partnership up front next season.
