  1. From what I've read, Gannon would be an excellent candidate.
  2. I'm quite looking forward to us having a rivalry with Aberdeen. Certainly a fixture to look out for.
  3. I think Chris McCart is likely to feature in the thoughts of John Boyle. Hibs were getting linked with some boy from Stockport. Having had a brief look at his credentials the other day, he could be a decent shout.
  4. Spot on mate. If he ends up with Hughes and maybe Buzz they Motherwell have been taken for a ride. Boyle must ensure that the likes of Clarky and Quinn go nowhere near Pittodrie.
  5. Just on P&B so hopefully we can take it with a pinch of salt but there is a mention of Brian McLean being pursued by St Mirren.
  6. So his eye was on the ball last season when he was set to get on a plane to meet Romanov? Don't thinkso. Agree to disagree on this one.
  7. I hope we continue to appoint ambitious managers but hopefully this time it will be someone who keeps his eye on the job all the time and talks about his future prospects in a dignified manner.
  8. I'd expect Boyle to have began drawing up a shortlist a few weeks back.
  9. Fuck off. I dislike McGhee and I'm entitled to be pleased that he is on his way.
  10. He done fantastic in his first season and done a solid job last season but it is our interests for him to move on.
  11. I just want his departure confirmed so I can open a can in celebration. The only possible dampner is that he doesn't take Leitch with him.
  12. Looks like Celtic have got their man: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...tic/8086779.stm Hard luck Marky boy.
  13. I've not seen Peter Sweeney since the likes of Cahill played with Millwall but he looked a very decent player back then.
  14. Congrats to Clarky. I take it he didn't have much faith in us getting to the Scottish Cup Final though!?

Another point to arise from my discussion with my Hibs mate. There new tops are £35 from the shop and there is a further fiver off for Season Ticket Holders. Not slamming Motherwell in the slightest but Hibs seem to offer a fine deal.

Discussion about sponsors seems to have escalated somewhat. Anyway my Hibs mate says that he isn't too sure if its due to the fact they have a bevvy company sponsoring them but the logo free shirts have certainly been an option throughout their sponsorship. Hibs have changed to a property company this year so it will be interesting to see if the same option will be available. I guess not. On the debate around gambling/booze. The same guidelines should apply in my opinion.

Might be a very good shout Craig - i'll check that out tomorrow actually. If that were the case though, then surely we could go down the same avenue given we are sponsored by a Bookies?

Definately the case mate. My mate was shocked that we didn't do it. Would be tremendous if we could follow that.

I was showing off our strip to my Hibs buddy that sits next to me at work. Given that the hoop is back, he asked if I was buying it without the sponsor!!? Apparently Hibs sell sponsor free shirts every year.

Absolutely delighted with the top. Own goal with the shorts though.
  21. Dailly would be a mighty fine season. He would be an excellent role model to the youngsters at the club and given his dedication to putting in extra hours at training, I imagine he has a few years left in him.
  22. Canny mind if it was Malpas or Butcher, probably Malpas as I was in tenerife at the time with 500 euros on Hibs.
  23. Likewise mate, that memorable night feels like yesterday.
  24. Really tough choice this year as a number of players have enjoyed excellent spellss of various times of the season but nobody has really maintained an excellent season throughout. Smith is an interesting choice, probably our most consistent performer but didn't cover himself in glory at home to Nancy. Barring that though, he has been a safe pair of hands and gets my vote. While he will always struggle with crosses, it's going to be tough to replace him. Good servant to the club.
  25. Outwith the Scottish Cup final, 6-1 demolition of Hearts at Fir Park and humping Hibs at Easter Road in McGhee's early days are two of the finest performances. So many dreadful performances over the years, with Scottish Cup defeats at home to inferior opposition particularly hard to take. Two losses to St Johnstone spring to mind, think both were quarter final matches under Davies and Malpas respectively. 6-5 defeat starring Goram, Spencer, Goodman & Co to an Aberdeen team that had barely scored a goal or picked up a point remains the most bizarre game.
