Aye, I was sitting on the PO'D and saw that too. I've not seen back what Maswahise was booked for but it looked like nothing to me and if I remember right thats what Kettlewell was shouting about at the ref. he was maybe needing a wee vape and was feeling a bit aangry 😄

Just back from the game. It's a bit of a trek for me these days, with the drive to Wemyss Bay and the ferry, but glad I went to that one. Just read through the comments and I think Ya Beezer summed up what I thought. TJ and Davor looked like they wanted to get sent off early doors. I think Kaleta is a liability TBH, never defends his area and seems to wander back when we have a break against us. Tony Watt saw a fair bit of the ball today and I thought he was doing a lot of the things that he used to do for us, control the ball and quick flicked passes but at the moment they're just not coming off for him. Thought the defence looked pretty solid mostly and (on my son's insistance) I kept a close eye on Halliday. He honestly does a lot of stuff that he's not going to win gold medals for but his positional awareness and ability to break up stuff coming towards us and jump in when someone makes a mistake can't be underestimated. A lot of his forward passing maybe isn't finding the mark but he does a lot of important stuff, a lot of it unseen. Vale I thought made a big difference when he came on and Nicholson should have got an easy 3rd (if he was onside). Good to see Slattery and McGinn back on the pitch. I actually thought we were pretty comfortable after the 2nd goal. Aberdeen had a lot of ball, but there was never what you would call a backs to the wall defending performance. I actually thought we were worth another goal or two. On a side note, in the second half a couple of times when we had men still up the park when the ball went to Ox.....Ketts was screaming at him to play the ball out quickly and he stopped and wasted time instead. The gaffer was losing his shit about it. Still, ye canny beat a wee trip home with 3 points in the bag.

I'm coming over for this tomorrow and I'm a mega jinx. You have been warned 🙂
-
We're so far off the pace here it's unbelievable
-
I general play, it looks like they have 3 more men than us. Everyone seems to be in acres of space.
-
What a fucking awful start. What the fuck was O'Donnel thinking there ???????
-
I thought there was 100% someone offside when the shot was taken that hit the post in the build up. I also thought Kaleta was nowhere near the pace of the game today. Posted missing in defence numerous times. Then later on he gave the ball away a couple of time because he basically didn't move. Should have been hooked 10-15 mins before he was.

Me too mate, me too. Even to the point of a poster saying 'it was a foul all day long.' Even the h**s I know said 'they got off with one there'. There was no way that would be a foul anywhere else or under any other circumstances.

I still have an old account on a Rangers forum (that I opened up during the play off ties years ago) and if we take something off them, I go for a sneak peak to see their tears 🙂 They're howling for Butland to get dropped and Kelly brought in. Funny thing is, they make this forum look like Happy Clapper Heaven !!

That was barely a fuckin foul ??? And they're looking at a possible red ????

Our club is run by amateurs. It's been 10 mins since you withdrew your funding and not a word from the society board. Oot their depth, the lot of them !
-
Bloody rich americans, thinking they can buy our club for peanuts......
-
Wilson back in at LWB, Sparrow for Halliday and Mawanhise and Watt up top !
-
Brilliant goal. Stama actually getting some ball in the box makes a hell of a difference !!!!
-
We're second to everything in midfield.
-
Don't think anyone claimed for it, did they ?
-
Well, that was quick !

Pretty much picks itself really. Glad to see kaleta in instead of Tavares.

How many managers have left top division clubs in Scotland in the last 20 years for any other reason than failure ? I know there are few exceptions, but in general, managers get fired or 'leave by mutual consent' 95% of the time. When I started going to games regularly, Willie McLean was in charge. he created a team that challenged the old firm regularly in matches, got conned out of a semi final win over the h**s and is largely lauded as the best team never to win a trophy. He was still sacked a couple of years later for a poor results, as have most of our managers since. It's the same for every other club. 90% of managers ultimately fail and get the sack.

I was wondering about this too. Tavares ahead of Kaleta being the obvious one. Remember when Biereth arrived here (with a slight injury, and after his injury sustained here at St Mirren), we were told that Arsenal physio staff dictated down to the minute literally, how much ha was allowed to play. Possibly Kaleta has a niggle and Wolves have dictated his minutes. Not in the know or anything, but it is a similar situation. If we're currently stuck for a RWB though, that doesn't explain away why Koutrumbis (or what ever his name is) is't getting a sniff of a start.

I would expect DU would be keen to get him off their wage bill. Question is, will Tony see sense and sign for us or revert to previous and end up in the Khazakstan Premier Leage on 10K a week ?
-
We're second, and sometimes third, to everything !

I've supported kettlewell through all the bad periods. Blaney for Balmer I understand (although I'm not sure there's that much to choose between them), but this Tavares thing has me baffled. Is Taveres playing right midfield and either Seddon or Wilson is playing on the wrong side, or is Tavares a right wing back with either Seddon or Wilson (i'd expect) in midfield ?

I missed the game up to the point Stama scored. I really thought the game should have been stopped for the head knock before their second goal and it looks like half the team did too. After that, the wheels came off for 10 mins or so. I thought other than that 10 min period we looked ok. Watt and Stam looked decent together. Maybe a more 'midfieldery' midfielder than Tavares and we'd have competed better. The 10 mins after their second killed it as a contest though. I think the biggest miss at the moment is McGinn.
