  1. Excellent point Weeyin, all too often, the people who are furthest away are overlooked after their early support. I am sure those involved will be reading the comments on the boards and will take note. As with all of us I presume relevant points will be taken by e-mail.
  2. Agreed, and I wonder if everyone who is quick to make comment on the boards will be so eager to speak up on 6th December. As long as the chairman is strong then progress should be achievable. It would be sad if it was spoiled by petty points after the progress which has been made to date. And we should remeber that these guys were elected by the Society members and not the Football Club.
  3. I was close to it in the East and thought it was at least "in line" but the linesman thought otherwise. We need to start taking chances or we will struggle in a very tight league. 2 wins would throw us well up the league.
  4. I enjoyed the game tonight but not the result. If we take one of our chances then we look at everything in a different light.Ojamma is very unlucky and We need to convert some of the crosses from humphrey and Murphy.

OJ for me - unlucky not to score 2
  6. As I have stated before, Higdon was "whistled" out of the Hibs game early on by poor ref O'Reilly constantly pulling him up and eventually booking him. Yesterday he was allowed to contest the high ball without being pulled up and brought his fellow attackers and midfielders into the game. Definately a big difference to how the refs viewed his attempts to play for the ball in these matches and ultimately how the results turned out for us. I thought Higdon played his part well yesterday along with every Well player in a very good team performance.

Thats what was announced, but it always seems more when you are in the middle of it. As stated elsewhere we seemed to outshout and outsing them most of the time. They were more intent in moaning all the time ant their players set the tone with their playacting , and rough tactics as they had no football answer to our display.
  8. First class performance today and players and manager looked comfortable. Murphy and Henrik were very direct as was Humphrey. Higgy held it up well and Las worked his socks off. The 2 central defenders worked well and blocked everything thrown at them. I was impressed by the substitutions and decisions made from the sidelines. all goals were well taken and Randy had a world class stop, as well as a few good catches and punches. The ref was a bit soft at times as Saints tried to bully the game and him. Excellent day.

Keith Lasley ran the show today
  10. Tidy stadium on outskirts of Perth. Easy to get to and usual numbers travel through - more if we are on a run or at start of season etc. We get a stand behind the goal.
  11. We are not dictating play at the moment and need to steady the ship. We need to get harder to beat and I will take a no score draw right now. I can't agree with Hateley in midfield as he is a duck out of water in there as proven too often already. Carswell needs a chance to show what he can do alongside Las and Law. Although he is a threat I would leave Humphrey out.
  12. Spot on - he whistled higdon out of the game very early.

Lasley for keeping his head up.
  14. Need to keep a clean sheet to win this one.
  15. I have requested info by e-mail on voting by e-mail 5 days ago as I am unable to attend but would support a couple of the nominees. To date no acknowledgement. I am not generally critical and accept that things can go wrong sometimes, and accept the reasons given from Ms Dempster, however the lack of response is dissapointing. Edit - noticed on Well Society or not thread that they are working on this at present.
  16. The recent 3-3 draw at Pittodrie. We lost a bit of confidence and are struggling to get back on track.
  17. I have also requested details of how to vote if unable to attend. Whether overseas or not it has to be a level playing field and every eligible member should have their say. It would be a shame if under 50% (my estimate of attendance) will have a say on election of board members.
  18. Over 500 people attended and I think this caught out the volunteers on duty. All for a good cause and if they gained any volunteers it will have been a success. Whilst waiting to have some of my items scanned it was great to see all ages of fans with their own piece of history made available on the day. There was obviously duplication of some of the more recent items, but i was fortunate to see some memorabilia from the 30's, as well as reminders of my own early days supporting in the late 60's on. The club might wish to take a leaf and organise something similar - seemed to be enough material to add up to a decent exhibition.
  19. Bright and early this morning for a change by Royal Mail.
  20. Delighted for Michael Higdon. Hope he builds on this - starting tomorrow.
  21. This desrves to be a success so get along with your memorabilia and enjoy the day.
  22. Agreed, but depends how you define "making it" It's a tight business and we have done very well in producing or signing young talent at this level. Letting talent go must be really difficult and whilst it has to be done you only need look at Lawless playing very well for Thistle to confirm this. He,s not the first we coudn't find a place for, and won't be the last.
  23. JJ is very dissapointed on MFC Tv. Don't think he will miss them.
  24. Better than Wed but still lots to do. Badly missing Jenno and attempts to fill the void have failed so far - Ramsden not the answer either. Big game for us next week. Both teams being beaten easily recently.
