Agreed, or something like a raffle £5 per ticket, (set a maximum number of tickets to be sold) for "A day in the dugout" where the winner gets access to the dressing room on matchday, and a seat behind the dugout to get real taste of what we all watch on a Saturday. Run it twice in the season and realistically you could raise £10k with little effort.

Following the death of his brothers, it would appear that my Grandfather was removed from direct front line action and was attached to the Italian heavy Artillery for his mechanical skills. I suppose it was a bit of a Saving Private Ryan scenario, having previously lost 2 of the 3 brothers in front line battles.

My Grandfather served his country at this time and lost his 2 brothers in WW1. One was killed during the opening battle of The Somme and another in 1917. From my research the conditions those brave men were under were truly horrendous. We owe all of those who served a tremendous debt of gratitude.

Serious times ahead for a few clubs in the SPL if TV money / Sponsorship is withdrawn. Glad that the club have quickly involved Society members in a very serious vote for the club. Having looked over the advice, the club are in a hard place as a yes vote would alienate many home and opposition supporters, and a no vote is financially crippling to the club. My view is that when the no vote is approved (with or without MFC input) we will require to dig deep again to keep the Club moving forward.
