With Green even suggesting a £1 entry fee, he has proved himself to be the new mad vlad of scottish football. Althought it doesn't surprise me that Traynor managed to find a nonexistent boycott but managed to miss this story!
-
I've no doubt that if we manage to beat them then there will be trouble outside after the game. I know some tossers at work who are foaming at the mouth already - might have something to do with me winding them up - but trust me some of the rangers fans have no respect and total hatred for anyone who supports an spl team and us beating them will send them over the edge!
-
the most that wee chunt has done against us is boot the shit out of folk!
-
The biggest worry that I have regarding this game is that if the SFA will appoint some diddy of a ref who is going to shit it from their support, think they are still a big team and give the fuckers every advantage possible. Oh and I predict a 'Well player to be sent off - get your money on it!
-
Gaag, what better way to rack up the pressure on them than to make them fav to win at their own ground? this is not like the old rangers that used to play at Ibrox, this new team couldn't lace their boots! The serveco team and their manager will be under tons of pressure to get a result - adding a wee bit more won't do any harm
-
From looking at the link without joining to read the full story it looks the usual OF biased news paper story, McCall only says that our previous record at ibrox makes them the bookies fav - he doesn't say that HE makes them fav. - maybe the full story tells something different but I can't be arsed joining to read a load of shit written by some OF biased hack.

not sure if its been mentioned already but that picture they're using is not even this season!

since all the ever talk about is how scottish football only want rangers so that we can make money out of them, how about Here for your money, we're only here for your money, here for your money, we're only here for your money. your dough, we're getting half your dough, we're getting half your dough, we're getting half your dough, your cheque, we hope it disnae bounce, we hope it disnae bounce, we hope it disnae bounce, oh bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, like a rangers cheque, oh bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, like a rangers cheque, oh bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, like a rangers cheque, oh bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, like a rangers cheque,
-
are you sure there no singing "bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, like a rangers cheque"

They don't do walking away don't they? - well 3000 of the fuckers just did!
-
Was talking to a couple of newco fans at work and they were saying how they thought they would scud us and then started having a go about how they had 46000 fans at ipox on sunday compared to our 4000 but I shut the fuckers up by pointing out that this was 3000 less that the start of the season and that if you take away the 38000 season ticket holders then their pay at the gate fans had dropped by over 25% in a month!

Most times when we sign players on a two year deal it is due to them only being willing to come for two years. In this case it would appear that the player wanted a 3 year deal - this make me suspicions as he will be 31 by the end of it and might struggle to get another club and one last signing on fee - at 30 it would be a lot easier. This then asks the question why does he want 3 years? is he possibly injured? does he have another problem? Also, if he wants a 3 year deal why hasn't he been snapped up by newco? - they're signing anyone half decent and their granny for daft money! Something just doesn't sit right with me here. If the club have decided on a two year deal then there must be a reason for it and I'll happily respect the decision even if it costs us the player.

Have checked the footage on MFCtv and neither incidents are shown but from memory, the motherwell player was standing still when the ball was hit - if he moved intentionally to block the st mirren player he must have anticipated the knock on and moved before it happened. If Humph was looking at his feet at the time then does the st mirren player moving directly into his path no constitue obstruction? As for the sending off and their equaliser I don't have any complaints but I was just pointing out that - in my view - the ref had been pish throughout the game and not just the last 10 min. The amout of times he played advantage to st mirren and then blew for a foul about once they lost the ball - at time well after the incident - but either stopped things straight away when it was us fouled or didn't award a foul when we lost the ball, was crazy. One other thing regarding refs in general, big Higdon makes it so easy for refs to ignore fouls on him by constantly going down whenever he is touched that when he is genuinly fouled they just put it down to him being at it - time for the big man to stop trying for fouls and concentrate more on winning balls.
-
Hutchinson's mouthing off lost him it from me, went for Kerr but Cummin's was a close second.
-
sorry mate but the ref was shit all game, from memory, In the 1st half he gave us a foul for a deliberate hand ball which stopped us attacking and then failed to book the st mirren player. He gave them a foul when one of their players knocked the ball past our defender and the ran into him but then gave them a foul when Humphrey did the same five minutes later! He allowed the game to continue when Hutch was on the ground and only blew when we got posession and were breaking up the park. the guy was piss poor from the start and got worse as the game wore on!
-
I have no idea how bad or good the clubs finances are but with 2 years left on his contract I'd be really pissed off if we sell Hutch for a less than £700,000 with a sell on clause. The guy has the potential to be a future English internationalist and will play at the highest levels of the game. I can't think of another player at our club who has the potential to increase in value over the next season as much as Hutch, yes he will only have 1 season left on his contract but if he continues to improve - and who would bet against him doing so - and with another seasons experience under his belt, selling him next season could net us one heck of a lot of cash from a premiership team. Bottom line for me is that if we sell him cheap this window, the club better come out with one hell of a good reason for doing so or I'll lose all faith in the board and what they're trying to achieve!

Only on here could a julian be a legend

On the ferry back from Dunoon, hope to hit the pub for just after 5 - getting excited and starting to believe we've got a chance 'mon the 'Well
-
No any good at designing but I'd like to see one with a cartoon guy with diving gear and the words "when not following the 'Well I like to go diving" in reference to the diving song.
-
Taking everything in context, yes it would be great to see him - or any other player of his stature sign for us- but in reality, it will only be because no one else is willing to take a chance on him that he signs and if this is the case then we should not expect to see the same player that we remember. Having said that I hope he makes me. Eat my words and I"d like to thing SMcC has seen enough to believe the gamble is worth it

Although I wouldn't like to lose either of them, I would rather lose Law than Hutch. Law has only one season left and by new year will be worthless as he could sign a pre contract but Hutch would still have 18months left and will only improve and increase in value.

how far you could throw a bit of scrunched up paper?

Apart from the score it was a great night last night, the team played well and the atmosphere was electric at times. Looking forward what are your thought regarding how we should play next week? we have a couple of options, sit in and hope to get a couple of breaks, go all out and see what happens or use the game as preperation for the Europa league away game. Thoughts please.

Great that we have a choice Las, Law, Hutch and Hateley all in with a shout - not that the others did badly - but I've went for Nicky Law. Well done to the full team.

Not a bad summery from the bbc: Plucky Motherwell facean uphill task after their debut in the Champions League qualifiers ended in ahome defeat by a clinical Panathinaikos. Wellwere on top in the early stages but fell behind when a Lazaros Christodoulopoulos'free-kick deceived keeper Darren Randolph on 13 minutes. TomHateley and Nicky Law both tested goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis in an end-to-endfirst leg at Fir Park. Butsub Charalampos Mavrias drove in the killer second after 76 minutes. Panathinaikoshad arrived in some disarray, with Greece captain Giorgios Karagounis missing the trip afterrejecting a new contract with the club that flirted with bankruptsy lastseason. Internationalcolleague Kostas Katsouranis was also absent from midfield, being left on thebench after his exertions for Greece at Euro 2012. Butthe Athens side were still full of quality and gave competitivedebuts to two of their seven summer signings, Venezuela defender Jose Manuel Velazquez and on-loan Wolfsburg forward Ibrahim Sissoko. Incontrast, hard-up Motherwell have lost several experienced players from theirsquad and and only added former Bradford Citymidfielder Simon Ramsden. YetStuart McCall's side looked positive and Chris Humphrey fired inches over from 25 yards. Motherwell'slack of playing resources meant that Shaun Hutchinson was drafted into thestarting line-up despite playing only 45 minutes in pre-season after beinghampered by a groin problem. Theyoung defender's rustiness proved costly when he conceded a needless free-kickon Sissoko that led to the Greeks' breakthrough. Jean-AlainBoumsong failed to connect with Christodoulopoulos ' swinging delivery fromabout 40 yards, but the former Rangers and Newcastle defender's run was enough to put offRandolph and the ball curled inside the far post. Effortsfrom Humphrey and Keith Lasley failed to find the target as Motherwellcontinued to threaten. However, the Greeks ended the first half on top and a 25-yard strike from Jose CarlosZeca was pushed over by Randolph. Christodoulopouloscurled a drive just wide from 25 yards seconds into the second half, but Motherwellresponded and Karnezis nervously pushed away Hateley's 30-yard free-kick offthe wet surface. Thegoalkeeper almost spilled a Law shot from a similar distance into his net andMichael Higdon directed a header straight at Karnezis. Onlya brilliant sliding block from Boumsong stopped Law converting after being setup by Henrik Ojamaa, who also wasted a good chance on the break. However, after Ojamaa lost the ball on the edge of the Greek box, Sissoko found Mavriasand the right winger fired it through Randolph's legs. Motherwellcontinued to push forward, but it was Panathinakos who went closest to addingto the scoring when recent signing Bruno Fornaroli blazed over having come onas a substitute. Motherwell manager Stuart McCall : "I think we more than matched them. I don't think the scorelinereflected the performance. "Ijust wanted the lads to put in a performance their families and the fans wouldbe proud of and they did that. "I'mdisappointed with the goals. We talked about not giving silly free-kicks awaywith the boy's ability from set-pieces. "Wedidn't want to go out with a whimper. We were pressing and probing and mostpeople thought the goal was coming. "Itwould have been nice if we could have got it to 1-1, but it wasn't to be." Panathinaikos head coach Jesualdo Ferreira : "We experienced pressure from Motherwell, butwhenever we had the opportunity to break quickly, we created problems. "Motherwellwork hard and play football that is difficult to control, but I thought wedeserved the win."
