  1. On another note, got a call from a workmate yesterday saying that we have been offered £450,000 plus a year long loan back for Hutch by an EPL team. Apparently they were told to double the cash offer.
  2. If someone offers £500,000 for him in Jan he will be away never mind £1m.
  3. Past performance is no indication of future performance. 2-0 at home and 2-1 away Defence to play a blinded both games
  4. Being positive here but if Celtic can get a result against Barcelona then we have a chance of getting a result here. Realistically it will be tough but not impossible.
  5. And given that the club will prob leave on the Tuesday, any signing would have to be done and dusted by then.
  6. From memory I think it's 24 hrs before the match for euro signings.
  7. It's amazing how every year we see a draw and first thoughts are we're doomed, then within 5min we start thinking we can beat this mob - not sure about this lot but if our defence is on their game we could at least give them a fright! Mon the Well!
  8. There's more folk getting their knickers in a twist over this than what there are over the royal bloody baby. If its bothering you that much switch of the fucking laptop, go out the back and have a fuckin. Beer! Alternatively, go act like some daft Celtic fan and stand outside the club doors pickin yer nose and wait. Whatever you do stop posting pish on here! Option 1 of having a beer is the best one though
  9. CELTIC 1318 (last season 1st) RANGERS (now liquidated) 1175 (last season 2nd) HEARTS 826 (last season 3rd) MOTHERWELL 717 (last season 6th) KILLIE 712 (last season 4th) ABERDEEN 707 (last season 5th) Sorted the wee mistake.
  10. I agree that he's worth another chance. he moved well, tried some runs that no one picked up on and at times harassed the defence but i also thought at times he seemed to lose interest when he wasn't getting the ball.
  11. Crosshill, i don't doubt that he showed a "disgusting lack of respect " to the Motherwell fans but I find it hard to believe that he acted in a bigoted way.
  12. Don't remember exactly what was being said or what threads it was in but I do remember thinking it was bang out of order and personally abusive stuff. If I recall correctly it included her integrity, honesty and sexuality. The first two are, I believe, above reproach and the third is her own business!
  13. Leanne is one of the best - if not the best - chief exec's in the Scottish game and I've no doubt that some chairmen in England will be aware of her abilities but hopefully she stays with us for a long time and oversee's the club becoming a fully fan owned club. Interestingly she diplomatically avoided mentioning some of the sexist and downright disgusting abuse she has previously had from some Motherwell fans at FP and on forums including this one.
  14. A big well done to all at the club for managing to sign another class player who should be both a great addition to the defence but also someone who can help develop the younger talent that we have. Really feel that he could add another medal to his collection this year and if the draw is good to us he could also be part of a team playing in the group stages of the Europa league.
  15. While we wait for news, I might be adding two and two together and getting five but regarding the striker on trial story and Leanne's statement about tie ups with foreign clubs, could the guy be from Warsaw?
  16. Wonder if that means there will be no signings today or no signings YET today?
  17. If we can't agree a contract extension with him then this is the time to sell him but I would be expecting a hefty fee with add ons.
  18. Saunders is a good player and I'm happy to see that he's getting a chance elsewhere but I don't feel that SMcC was wrong to let him go. Sometimes a player needs a change of clubs to prove himself and I think this is the case here - best of luck to him and I hope he stays injury free.
  19. The club couldn't afford his wages last season and I doubt that we will manage to afford them this season, so why would they offer him a contract? It is possible however that SMcC is hopeful that the guys who payed his wages last season might be willing to pay part of his wages over a two year contract and that SMcC is waiting to see what's left in the kitty before putting a proposal to him - not much point putting forward an if buts and maybes contract that might be knocked back, better to wait and put forward a firm deal.
  20. Good shout Alan but if you keep talking sense on this thread the mods will have to ban you
  21. I see you don't read this thread
  22. The way some folk are talking on here big Hinson won't score many goals at another club which is nonsense, the big man scored goals at other club and will do so again - best of luck to him.
  23. Infamous, is that a reference to Gannon or a wee teaser?
  24. The chances of us keeping Hutchy, signing McManus and Faddy signing again at slim to say the least unless someone has won the lottery. Hutchy is our most sellable/valuable asset who can leave for nothing next year so, unless he signs an extension, financially the club must be looking to move him on - although hopefully not until after the Euro games. McManus is a cracking player who will be being chased by others but hopefully SMcC will prove to be more persuasive that others and he signs for us. Faddy, we just can't afford him unless our benefactors from last season have deep pockets - we can only hope.
